This is frustrating... does anyone know for sure if the upgrade will work or not to keep same account settings? It suggests that i'll be getting a brand new monthly plan at $55 /mo more expensive (since I'm on a family plan). Plus an activation fee for an upgrade? Is that normal for Sprint?
I tried amazon wireless but my phone signal is SOoL where I live right now. No can make phone calls!!! :/
I also don't think Best Buy price matches anymore..? if it did i'd way prefer to go into their store despite all the bad PR they've had in the last few months and policy changes in general.
Anyway mostly just curious what will happen if i try to check out... if i'll be screwed over by this or not? I know there is a return policy but... on this it kinda frightens me since it is a high repeating cost purchase....
So finally got through with Amazon Wireless... they clarified that it does NOT create a new account if you are upgrading. It just appears that way... when the info is sent to Sprint that is when it is shown as an upgrade... Either way worst case you have 14 days to return and get your upgrade reversed if it doesn't work right.
Can anyone confirm that they have used the upgrade price, and were able to keep their old plan? I'm on a SERO Premium plan so obviously don't want to change plans.
It would be very difficult to upgrade through Amazon and keep SERO. Most likely Amazon won't be able to access your account. If they can, you will be forced to change your plan during the order process and then you'd have to hope that someone in Employee Care would switch you back during activation.
