This could go nicely with that 30% off refurbished Latitude deal also on the front page. I just go a 14" laptop with 1600 x 900 resolution, bluetooth, backlit keyboard, 3rd gen i5, and 5gb RAM for $384. I don't know if there are still similar deals or if you would be able to use the gift card from this, but it is worth checking out.
Which latitude model supports 1600x900? Was it a 15" model or something smaller? I couldn't find anything in the 14" or lower range that supported anything above 720p.

That Panasonic 55" deal is LED *IPS* (and is cheaper in price) is there really any difference with this one?

EDIT: Nevermind, the Panasonic is 3D and this one is not, that's a big difference...
The Panasonic is more similar the LG LM6200

there is also a SD thread on that LG

that being said...for near the same feature set in edge lit LED...Samsung is typically the preferred set and priced higher

Looking for a laptop so this would be perfect. Just how do I justify this as a bedroom TV lol

The Panasonic led's have rates poorly. Not sure why someone would choose one over their top rated plasmas.

You can sell the gift card on ebay

Really? Ebay is risky these days. Too easy to get screwed over.

One way to avoid being screwed is not to sell to new ebay'ers or ones with no or low feedback.
Agreed. I got 'screwed over' once on a gift card (luckily it was $20 / not $400). I messaged the buyer the code and within 30min I got a message from eBay & PayPal saying the buyer has opened a case stating his account was used by an unauthorized person and they refunded him the money courtesy of me. I googled the eBayer's id after to find out it wasn't the first time an 'unauthorized person' used their account. As long as you meet the "seller protection" rules you can pretty much guarantee you will be fine; always mail the gift card with tracking / never esend a gift card activation code.

If you have a big bedroom...it's justified!

Not sure I'd make an investment in a HD TV with NO internet connection. To me it's a deal killer. No updates.

that cnet review doesn't seem too good on the TV.

but then again this set is priced accordingly. seems like the only thing going for it is the size.

I think the c.net review is too brutal.
If you look at amazon reviews it's at 4.5 stars.

Not sure how this is frontpage. The previous deal (which wasn't FP) included $250 in gift cards (if you utilized the bonus $475 gc for $400 deal twice) and only cost $800. Less out of pocket and less dell gc to deal with.

yep. got screwed the same way selling a very rare forza DLC xbox 360 code about a year ago. I stupidly sent the code via ebay message. The buyer said the code didn't work and filed a case w ebay. I contacted microsoft and had them verify the code was redeemed within the hour of my sending it from someone in the state the buyer was located in, so obviously he lied and stole it. Ebay didn't care and refunded him the money and I was out about $150. I no longer sell digital goods on ebay and try to avoid ebay all together now. When I send any item valued at over $100 now i even go as far as to bring the unoppened box with item to post office and video record me putting it in the box, sealing it, afiixing the label and handing off to a worker at the counter

This is almost equivalent to the deal you mentioned.
