Why do you need to download linux iso from these sites. Aren't those already available free to download?

Speeds. I can download about 800 MB in about a 2 minutes or so with my connection.

Do that here and you'd get a $6,000 overage bill at the end of the month!
that's the beauty of unlimited, no worries. Except my stupid DSL provider sent me a warning about abusing my 12.1MB plan. I was overpaying for pokey 1.5DSL for years so just making up some time. I was surprised how fast I burned through my first 25GB block from cubenet. I'm getting the full 12.1MB here to their EU server but going back to unlimited SSL at $8/mo. Can't get enough of Sasha Grey. nod

Guys a quick question about usenet providers. Frugalusenet and thecube which servers are they resellers of? I use frugal as my main unlimited (5/month) and thecubenet as my backup (i got 100gb block for $5).

137 GB is nothing for many people. Some do that in a day.
Those people are NOT the majority. Most people in the US have dl caps of 250-300gb a month from their internet provider.

Edit: Also what in god's name could you be downloading 4TB/month? The hard drive space alone...There's no way you could absorb all that media

Guys. Remember, what's the first rule of usenet?

The takedowns are nothing new but they separate the savvy and not so savvy. Usenet is getting way to much attention the last few years. Attention is its worst enemy.

Usenet is not for the weak of heart and that's one of the reasons it works.

If I were to purchase a block, does it expire? I have Astra as my primary. Haven't had any issues recently.

Nope it doesn't expire. I picked up 1 tb block to go along with my 1tb block with astra as well. I haven't had any issues with them lately either but this is crazy cheap for a back up.

If you are looking for cheap and are ok with Highwinds then I'd wait until next months terabyte tuesday from urlhasbeenblocked. http://www.urlhasbeenblocked.com/...e-tuesday/

$38 for 1.1 tb block. Can't be beat and the same backend provider as this.

Also note that highwinds isn't bad as a primary provider but not a good backup. This combined with a EU provider for backup blocks is a good solution.

I can plow through a terabyte of porn every day and that's based on xvid encoding. You don't want my mkv stats.

I agree that's not most people, that's why I said SOME people. I think a very large group of people dl more than 137GB in a month and would benefit from the unlimited plan.

I have tomato vpn ed. and ddwrt vpn ed. on some of my routers. Would anyone be so kind is to tell me how to setup SlickVPN using the ddwrt or tomato GUI? Can't seem to get it to work on neither. Intent is to route ALL traffic, or all which is possible over the VPN.
