Could someone please post a link to a typical watch that one would use this with? I have no idea what's going on here!

That's a good deal for one, but I still can't justify the purchase. It takes all of 2 minutes to set one in the morning.
Agree, not sure why you would want to add additional wear onto the watch when you're not actually wearing it.

Dammit, I thought it say "watch finder' not "winder"... I lost my watch a few years ago and still haven't found it, LOL...

This is a great product though, just like that horse buggy whip I picked up from SD front page a few months ago...

These are garbage. I bought the starfive two watch winder from joma shop last year. Worked for about a month then one stopped working. Then the other stopped 2 weeks later. Eventually the unit started smoking.... Into the trash it went.

in 4 1!

I had another watch winder i got for about $30-35 about 7 years ago and it is on its last legs, so glad i saw this deal I was in the market for one.

FYI to people in NYC I got hit with sales tax which brings the total to $35.92, but still cheaper than anything i've seen lately.

Cool! People still use watches, let alone mechanical ones. Never knew that winders existed. Used self winders back in the day. But, haven't worn a watch for 12-15 years, with ubiquitous cell phones, computers, etc.
a nice watch is like jewelry

Higher-end automatic watches like certain tags, rolexes, IWC, etc etc.

watches are fine tuned machines, they are meant to be used. leaving them still can cause the movement to sieze.

Mine worked fine for a year, then stopped working.
I had to change the battery in my watch.
Winder has been working well again since then.
wait, huh? you had to change the battery in your automatic watch?

How could this be? They are in sealed tight in a compartment impervious to elements. If you were talking about a car I'd understand, but a watch?

Based off your non helpful idiotic statement, How have watch company's been around for the last 15 years especially with cell phones. Wow Wee they must be pretty much bankrupt by now.
Sometimes it helps to leave your house or even your computer chair and socialize with people. So why you are texting and facebooking on your computer Friday night, Im gonna be out with my friends, checking the time on my watch periodically. Thanks for your enticing message, Please tell me more

Contrary to popular belief, they are not impervious to the elements. The weakest point is the seal on the crown especially if the seals are dried/aged. This is why mechanical watches need periodic servicing. Also, more to the other poster's point, if you leave a watch too long, the lubricants can pool and/or degrade thereby leaving some areas dry which can cause the movements to seize.

In regards to this winder, apparently, there is NO WARRANTY on these. I've emailed Jomashop to see what the deal is (maybe it's a dealer covered warranty). Either way, I don't know that I'd want a winder that only lasts a few months to a year. I have some older winder that are six or so years old and they're still going...granted, they were $300 winders.

Dude, get a life!

You completely misread what I posted/intent. Checked out your other posts on SD...seems you do give in to trolling a little too much.

No doubt, we will see a snarky "comeback" now.
