LG vs Dell
75Hz vs 60Hz refresh rate
5ms vs 7ms response time
3 year warranty vs 1 year warranty
Lighter with somewhat unstable stand vs slightly heavier with more stable stand
75 Hz? Really? If so, I think I'm in. There aren't any monitors in this price range ($100-$150) with more than 60 Hz, right?

Here's a couple of sources on the refresh rate:

Specs [cnet.com]

Specs [ncix.com]

If this information is correct it should be able to do 75Hz at the native resolution of 1920 x 1080, which Yes, in my opinion also, is very good.

More than likely that 75 hz refresh rate is only achievable when using a lower resolution. I wouldn't expect 1080p at 75 hz unless someone who owns the monitor can actually confirm it.

Really? 75hz? I love me some extra hz...

Also, the tradeoff w/ the stand is that you just get your own stand (VESA yay!)

You could do VESA for the Dell, but you'd have to buy this add-on (on ebay)

Does anybody know if the bezel is matte or glossy? I can't really tell by the pics. My room has too much light for glossy bezels.

Although I would like to see the human who can perceive that 2ms difference in response time, lol.

Found the manual on the Spanish LG site http://www.lg.com/es/soporte-producto/lg-IPS234V under 'Manuales de Usario' (choose the Ingles (English) one) and it seems that 75 Hz isn't recommended or standard at 1080p. It can be seen on page 25 and 26. Bummer

Dontknow This is a newer model that lots of places have in stock so it's possible that these will be back but who knows for sure.

They do still have the refurbished ones for $159.99 and free shipping with shoprunner although these were $123 (previous thread post 4/12)
LG LGE-IPS234W-PN (Refurbished) [newegg.com]

I also see that CDW has them for $169.99 new, but I think there's tax in most states and not sure what they charge for shipping:
LG IPS234V-PN 23" Wide LED monitor [cdw.com]

Thanks for the reply, I've just read that newegg just marks their items OOS once they've reached their limit that had for the sale price, so they aren't really OOS, but won't "restock" until sale is over :<

Do you know how this one compares to this: http://slickdeals.net/f/5978556-LG-24EA53V-P-24-LED-Backlight-LCD-IPS-Monitor-198-AC?v=1
