i have the note 1... bought a few weeks ago off CL for 200 bones. Sold my s2 for 165 (which I got for free from ATT, w/ contract obviously- but I don't pay the bill, work does--- so no biggie).... Anyhoo, I'm happy with the note 1, but from what I understand the the note 2 is way better. Split screen, JB, better battery life, etc, etc. I flashed a JB rom to my note 1 and it's pretty sweet. Oh and yeah, in relation to the iphone, my friend has an iphone5, he says he is ditching for the GN2 asap. I had the original iphone and the iphone 3g. Couldn't handle the tiny screens once these type of larger phones started to come out.
Thoughts on this vs the LG Nexus 4 for 349?
I've been looking for a new GSM phone and having no luck on Craigslist.
I swapped my Nexus 4 for a Note 2 and have no regrets. The Nexus was nice but a few things bothered me; mostly the incredibly poor volume through the headphone jack and the back was too easily scratched. The Note 2 felt awkwardly large to hold for the first few days, but I loved the screen. Now it just seems normal and the Nexus 4 seems like a toy (gave it to my wife.) Considering you will have to pay tax and shipping from Google for a Nexus, it's basically $400 while this was only $100 more, definitely worth it IMO; it seems dead now though...
that is what i meant, this 7100 is not a 4G phone, another word, if you get t-mobile 4G prepaid plan with this 7100 phone, i don't think you will utilize t-mobile 4G speed but only at 3G speed.
I'm not sure entirely, but depending where you live you may be able to get tmobile's 4G. But the HSPA+ variety and not LTE. Some cities have been re-farmed and are using AT&T's band but I don't know if this phone will take advantage of that.
My best guess is don't buy this phone to use on t-mobile. At this point look for a LTE phone that works with tmobile's LTE.
I've blacklisted rebates! Except eβates, they blacklisted me!!
