Deal Details

As part of the new blackberry z10 launch they are running a free gogo wireless promotion on delta for blackberry z10 users. It is simply restricted by user agent.

Change your browsers user agent to one of these and you can use inflight wifi from GoGo for free on all domestic delta flights through 6/30/2013. Working as of 7/8/2013 will update if that changes No longer working July 10th.

Once you complete the gogo login process with the fake user agent, you can go back to your regular browser/apps/etc for the duration of your flight.

User agents that work currently:
"Mozilla/5.0 (BB10; Touch) AppleWebKit/537.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.0.9.773 Mobile Safari/537.10"
"blackberry z10"
"blackberry"

Actual promotion details:
http://www.keepmovingtour.com/des...ATE=040313

Instructions to change user agent in all PC browsers:
http://www.howtogeek.com/113439/h...xtensions/

iPad/iPhone:
Use Journey Lite or Sleipnir to set a custom user agent to one of the above:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/j...39952?mt=8
Under settings (+ button - > Settings -> Pretend to be... enter custom string there) Once you browse and get access, you should be able to return to Safari for the rest of your flight
Can also use Sleipnir and set a custom UA (Thanks spazzy22) - same as above.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/s...32112?mt=8

On Android
Use Dolphin Browser to set a custom user agent of above strings (Under Display Settings.) You can return to stock browser once you browse to a site through GoGo.

Awesome. Unfortunately flying Delta in June. Sweet!
Off-topic but I'm curious what American-based airline you like more.

I've flown on all of them and compared to United, American, and US Airways (also AirTran, Southwest, Spirit but they're in a different discount category) specifically, I've not found a better carrier. It may also just be the routes I've flown but for domestic and international travel Delta has had the best service and bang for my buck.

I ask because I'm starting a new job and I was asked which frequent flyer program I wanna participate in and if there's a better airline I need to get on it!

If you are chasing points, no idea, I fly virgin america once a week though and it beats the domestics hands down. International flying is a different story, the domestics aren't even in the same category.

look for an option to change your user agent string in your browser. when you then open your browser the gateway will redirect you to a page specific to the user agent string you provide. if its set properly, youll get a free connection option. once you click through you can switch your user agent string back.

cant you just take the media you intend to consume on the plane with you??? not only can you ensure the quality, but also you wont be at the mercy of the internet connection........ AT 30K FEET! the service isnt meant for streaming video, it doesnt mean you cant particularly if you are willing to buffer, but i suspect they QoS cap per user to avoid a jackass from taking up all of the bandwidth!

You do realize that Delta now owns 49% of Virgin Atlantic...

If you want to chase points/ status, I recommend reading The Points Guy. He has a bunch of posts about the different mileage programs and benefits of each. I currently have no status with any airline, but if I had to choose any airline to fly, Virgin is my top choice. The seats are comfy, IFE is the best domestically, and I think the overall atmosphere is more fun than most.

It's like hotels: I have Hilton Gold status, but I think Kimpton hotels are much more fun and I appreciate their boutique feel. If I lose my status at the end of the year, I'll switch back to Kimpton whenever possible because I like their feel.
