Not a bad price on the Dell but it's been as low as $989 just recently. I'm debating on it. Not sure I want to give up a warranty on a monitor that price over $150. I expect the monitor to come back down to high 900's soon.

I had the older version of the 30" Dell (3007)... great monitor, but too big for my tastes. I'd make me motion sick playing FPS... too much movement in my peripheral vision lol Good price tho! I was able to use mine for about a year and then flipped it on eBay for more than I paid!

Picked up one of the u3011s from Amazon Warehouse two weeks ago when they dropped to $760 for a day. If you don't need one today just keep checking back and shaving another c-note off of that price may be possible.

The monitor came in the original box, exhibits two dead pixels (1/8" from bottom &1.5" down from top left), very minor bleed in the top left edge (hardly noticeable) but has 2 yrs left on the Dell warranty. I'll keep it for that $. With 30 days to test the monitor with free shipping back, I'm sold on Warehouse deals. I've yet to call Dell for warranty transfer but will confirm prior to the 30 day return date.

What's the chances of dead pixels on these? I imagine they were returned for a reason.

yeah only reason i couldnt bite

recently a new dell 27 2713 went on sale for 505 before tax. and that comes with dell standard 3 yr warranty on ultrasharps...............much better.
plus zero dead pixel guaranteed, and generally much much MUCH x 12109381209382 better quality control than asus

You realize how vague that is?
I have a south Korean "crossover" that is 27'' 1440p no bad pixels, d-dvi only, no light bleed, realistic color reproduction for what it is. Paid 476 with tax. and it has height adjustment swivel, pivot. steel casing etc.

There's also the catleep.(however u spell it) didn't go with it, because of the cable management and the stand. otherwise its the same specs.

Then there was another one, which is the same specs, (can't remember the name...don't wanna look) but was alot blockier

Pricewise it was $(one I can't remember) < $ catleep <$crossover.
but that being said I love my crossover. Its great for bench work (keeping important data on screen) and searching through all the damn science journals.

And I use one at home, no ghosting while gaming, and its pretty damn bright =)

But to answer your "question" : Yes...Yes I do

I think he is referring to the shimian achieva QH270. I bought the LITE version without glass for 280 shipped. It is great, I did not get any dead pixels and works like it should.

achieva shimian that's what it was. Yeah I was actually going to go with that one, but I was having a hard time determining what specs/features were coming with what.

So I decided If i'm going to order a damn expensive monitor, I might as well really go all out =D. and got the crossover

Good deal on the Asus monitor, I would buy if I didn't just pick up a Crossover 2560x1600 monitor last week
