COUPON IS DEAD NOW!

Just entered a coupon ##### at checkout on eBay and got a case for a phone for $0. Original price was 7.99. Not sure how long this will last but if you want to take the risk go for it! Worked for me no probs!! Probably 1/account

ebay/paypal always gets their money back

I currently have NEGATIVE ebay bucks, they debited the account and won't give me credits until I earn enough for them under their system

with the big fee increases in May ebay is dooming themselves
I hope so. I fxxxking hate Ebay. Stopped selling anything expensive on it from now. No way those fxxtards will get my money so they can get stocks options raining at the end of the year. I start listing everything on CL. Eventually they sell. You just have to be patient.

d'oh, took too long finding something..

The redemption code could not be used for your purchase.
There is no balance left on this redemption code.

Just to avoid the screw-ups posted in this thread, I decided to buy something more than $10 (12, so it ended up being $1.99).

Also, for the life of me I cannot figure out why anyone would want to keep anything but their CC linked to paypal unless they sell on ebay. Seems ripe for abuse if ebay wants to screw you out of more money.
Exactly, which is why you should be using secure cc numbers!nod

A buddy e-mailed me the coupon. I'm on business in the great white north for a while, so he sent it to me. Not sure how he got it, but I don't really care! Got a free samsung galaxy note 2 case even though I don't have the phone! It's the one that looks like a wallet haha. If I don't get the note 2, then I have another wallet!

Made in China!
Great white north? Sounds like Manhattan

Please read user tcsd87's reply for an example of a useful post:

Unfortunately, my e-mail shows the following:
  • Subtotal $22.99
  • Coupons, gift cards, discounts -$0.14
  • Total $22.85
The coupon it's showing is my eBay bucks remainder. I do have a screenshot that shows that the $10 coupon code was applied to my cart before checkout (it even shows that I am logged into a linked PayPal account). No dice; it just didn't use the coupon code.

We still have odd fellows running through this forum, trying to shout down anyone who attests to the fact that the coupon code did not work for them. I wish that there was a method to silence these trolls and their ill will.

However, your post (user tcsd87) was a useful addition to this thread since it gives SDers another method to confirm their charged purchases. Repped.
lol I don't give a damn about his post so stop quoting me! I still haven't seen this 40% and I never said I didn't believe these people. But half of them are just posting that they were charged without looking at the details so that is probably annoying some.

You quoted my original post in which I just asked a person to post the lower half of their statement because that is the important info. In the post in which you quoted me, you told me to stop posting mis information and thus I retaliated by calling out YOUR useless mis information of your made up 40%. SO now take your tit self and go quote someone that gives a cooter stick about your unlucky self!

We can see your edits and movements on this thread. I would encourage you to stop trolling these users; help is appreciated more than brash comments.
Lolol are you serious? LMAO

Read the wiki revisions, I was the first to explain how to read the coupon on the paypal statement.

I would go on further, but I now realize that you're trolling.

Yes, if people took the time to read around or even the wiki, this has been explained.
Read around? This place? Comical. At least if these things get explained multiple times throughout a thread, there's a better chance of it being seen by others who may not be so investigative as I've discovered here. haha.

I don't feel at all bad for ebay if this was a mistake. They are a large corporation and they have quite a lot of money from all my sellings. This is just an appeasement for me on their part. nod
I agree. 10% fee now plus another 3% for Paypal. They cannot fully justify the increase in any way except pure evil greed. I got my $30 back today from fxxxkbay!

I would assume you did not use the coupon then.
Go ahead and assume we are all retarded and can't type in a 5 digit code on ebay. The coupon code was typed in. It said applied on the ebay page. The ebay transaction page said 1.48. Have fun being the smartest person on the internet.

You're an idiot for posting it here. You should have made new accounts and orders all night.
Maybe so, but I'd rather not have all my PayPal accounts banned and all my orders cancelled or charged.

Plus, it was about time to give back to this community.
