COUPON IS DEAD NOW!

Just entered a coupon ##### at checkout on eBay and got a case for a phone for $0. Original price was 7.99. Not sure how long this will last but if you want to take the risk go for it! Worked for me no probs!! Probably 1/account

I haven't been following this thread since the coupon died. Just curious- has there been any info on where the coupon came from or anything of that nature?

But half of them are just posting that they were charged without looking at the details so that is probably annoying some.

This was hardly YMMV it was people not understanding how to read their PayPal statements or not paying attention.

Here is a summary of PayPal's response today:
  • Coupon "CIM15" was a targeted coupon, but PayPal will credit any customer who attempted to make a purchase with the failed coupon code.
  • Coupon "CIM15" is also a "known bug" in their system and they will honor any issues/claims.
  • PayPal will issue a $10 purchasing credit to customers who made a purchase before the bug was corrected on 4/24.
  • $10 credit will show up within 24 hours into your PayPal account as PayPal credit.
The easiest method of resolution is to contact PayPal Customer Service over the phone. If you are logged in to PayPal.com, click on the "Contact Us" link on PayPal's website, then click on "Call" on the right-hand side, it will give you a number AND a one-time passcode. Punch in the passcode during the phone call so that they can pull up your order status and account. Refunds were still being issued as of 7PM EST, 4/25/2013.

Both my orders have been shipped. Thankfully I used an eBay gift card for the purchase I made that was 18 cents over $10. No problems for me! Thanks!

Why would you get in trouble? The front page clearly notes that ebay is honoring this coupon even though it was targeted. Besides you used a prepaid debit card, those things are virtually untraceable.

I had to argue with one of the supervisors for 15 minutes.
He tried to offer $5 credit instead.

If you were unable to get a full refund, try calling back during regular business hours to speak to a representative who has been briefed on the details. Alternatively, if the tag line on your PayPal resolution ticket states "CIM15", the accounting department should know to credit you $10.

That's pretty cool that ebay is offering people the $10 credit. So does that apply to everyone who used the code (not targeted), and it successfully deducted from their purchase, or only those who used the code (not targeted), but found that the coupon was not deducted? Also I forgot to read the email yesterday, but it said that if I purchased through the Ebay app, I'd earn 3x more in ebay bucks/rewards for 4/24 only. Did anyone stack the deals successfully?

It's only for those who were unsuccessful with their $10 off transaction. If the coupon code was applied, you will not receive any compensation.

EDIT: You should be notified about a "New Transaction", and it should look something like the picture attached:
