Thread Details

I just got an email with a promo code that lets me use points for a purchase and get them all back. It had a barcode and unique promo code (in store or online). Presumably targeted, but their targets seem to be pretty broad. Lots of people got the 4000 points offer this morning. I used those 4K and 7K from the Visa sync deal.

Email reads:

Points Match Back: Redeem your points and we'll match back the points you've redeemed.*
Online & In store at Sears or Kmart
Offer ends 05/08/2013
Exclusions apply. See details.

The email I received only offer $20 in point when I redeem $25 in point.... I have over $300 in point when I purchased the 60" LG two weeks ago, Did I missed any email? Maybe they only send email to those accounts with lesser points...
Your thought?

I got this today as well, offer says you can redeem up to $100.

Pretty sure there was a deal at Kmart for $25 in points for a $50 automotive purchase. If that's still live and you plan on taking advantage of this you're getting some free stuff!

I never get these match points or high bonus targeted offers.

Can you guys who get them tell me, when was the last time you made a purchase? As I buy pretty often, probably 2-3x per month - relatively small - $25- 50 at a pop. Wondering if I buy less or higher purchases, does that kick in these specials?

Did you redeem $60 in points, or use $30 in points on a $60 purchase? I can't tell exactly from your post.

From the promo...
"Points Match Back: Redeem your points and we'll match back the points you've redeemed.*"

I used this offer the other day on the FP drill/impact driver set, and since it's more applicable here, I'll copy over my posts from that thread...

Alright... let me WARN you guys. SYWR is getting really "sketchy" with their "offers". I received an email for a "Points Match BACK" offer recently, which, from everything that I can tell by the T&C written on the email, means if I redeem $30 in points, they match me "BACK" $30 in points. However, after I placed my order, I only received $15 in points back, and when I called SYWR, the supervisor I spoke with tried everything she could to convince me it was a points "MATCH" (no "BACK") offer, it had worked as intended, and the issue was, in fact, the wording of the email.

Now I'm no idiot, and while I took a couple year hiatus from SlickDeals to (aggressively) make a couple hundred grand from penny auctions (while the getting was good), I'm still perfectly capable of reading the fine print of an email offer - LOL! Ironically, I've also had a couple issues with the SYWR coupons and promos lately, one of which in my account was totally "invalid" (not recognized in the system), and two Xtreme Redeem offers, at Kmart, didn't apply online (but were supposed to), which I was later told was a "limitation" of the website and they were in-store offers from this point forward, which seems to be another "email wording" issue.

Anyway - back to the original point. I think they're're either monitoring accounts they're not making profit on and trying to screw them, or intentionally "misrepresenting" offers to trick unsuspecting customers into using them with alternate results.

Not cool... :/

Well I got my points back, but with a "Customer Unhappy / Dissatisfied" notation beside it. Well damn right I'm "Unhappy / Dissatisfied"! They're sending out bogus and/or misleading offers via email and then trying to convince customers they only redeemed half the points they actually did on the order after the website calculates it differently than the VERY clear wording of the offer.

Mind you, I know this is a bit off-topic from the deal, but I want some opinions on this situation (since the deal seems to be dead and all). Here is the offer...

Attachment 1948748

Attachment 1948750

Can someone please "interpret" this for me? LOL
Anyway - I say everyone that received the offer (and I received three, each with a separate promo code) use them and call and raise hell. I had to go to a supervisor who tried to twist things every which way she could (but ultimately failed), and as such, I think they're doing it intentionally to get people who are banking points to spend some. But despite the fact I had to fight for my points the first round, I think I'm going to use the other ones as well, and fight a second and third time, for if Subway can be sued for their "Footlong" subs not being 12", THIS is absolute, relatively blatant crap!

I was in the same boat as well. Got the coupon, went over to kmart.com to use up the 25/50 offer to bank 100 points, and had to call/email in for all of those. then I when i used the 100 match, i had to email in to get those redeemed. 4 redemptions, none of which was credited properly. they will try to get you to wait for a couple of days while they 'research', but the CSR's all know how poorly the system is working. I actually give most of them credit for dealing w/ such a mess.

I agree re: coupons expiring early. almost every coupon I get per month is mysteriously "missing from their system" after a week, but 2 weeks prior to expiration. Again, what a crappy system.

At least I got 2 more of the 25/20 offers. first one automatically worked. argh, they keep pulling me back in.

Key is to build up and keep a decent point balance. For these offers and other match offers. ie, use the hose nozzle offer like they had on sun/mon to "buy" points to use later for matches.

How long does it typically take for the "points back" to show up in your account?

I received an e-mail for the 100% point match. I made my purchase today, it shows point credit on the receipt. It only credit half of my redeemed points. Mad

Well I took things a step further today. Already knowing the crap they are trying to pull, I placed an order early yesterday morning for the 100' hose for $30 and took video of myself placing the order, for verifiable proof (since the going "excuse" for support seems to be that I only redeemed half of what I actually did).

So at this time, I have been refused the additional points (per the Terms of the promo) on this order, have a voice mail in to the supervisor's supervisor, and if I don't get the satisfaction from her I am looking for, I very well may be contacting a lawyer to make these guys ante up, get their proverbial shit together, and keep it from happening again.

Mind you... It's not the measly $15 in question, but the sole principle of the matter that I personally believe they are intentionally trying to mislead and defraud their customers. :/
