The 85 f/1.8 is a popular lens. General consensus of the 85 f/1.8 is that it's a sharp lens, but suffers from Purple Fringing when shooting wide open in high contrast situations (e.g. sunlight reflecting off a car). It's phenomenal for portrait and sports.

I, personally, owned and used the 100mm F/2 for a bit, which is pretty close to the same thing. I really liked my 100mm f/2, though I didn't use it nearly as much as I used my 50mm f/1.4 lens.

I decided to pick up the 70-200 f/4L last night. I'm glad I noticed it early as it's already sold out. I also decided to get a T3i w/ 18-55mm lens. I made two separate orders so that each order was afforded the maximum discount.

There's only a few good deals here.

To be honest, I'm not sure why this blew up. It's been **much** better in the past. Especially for the more expensive lenses.

That and a couple of cheaper primes are pretty much the only things redeeming this thread. Even then, you do have to pay tax.

*Shrug*

I'll just wait for the 20-30% off.

Anyone who pay close attention to this kind of sale gets any feedback about the price being the same when the 20% was available? What I mean is the price will be higher when a 20% sale is on promotion or not? TIA

Haven't seen any previous post where the 600ex was 30% off. Have a link?
