Anyone who pay close attention to this kind of sale gets any feedback about the price being the same when the 20% was available? What I mean is the price will be higher when a 20% sale is on promotion or not? TIA
Base price is always the same for their refurb, even when they have 20% off.

Which kit would you recommend? 18-55 or 18-135. Thanks!
I ordered both kits and returned the 18-55 because I had a great price on the 18-135 stm. I have not regretted the choice. Before returning, I took some shots with it and I was very surprised at the resolution from it. It was incredibly sharp. I took similar shots with the 18-135 but they not as good. I believe that if you want just a good starter lens and don't want to pay much then the 18-55 is the way to go. However because the 18-55 and the 55-250 have below average build quality, I.e. lots of plastic especially in the mount, don't expect them to last too long. The 18-135 is the better lens overall, much better quality and can be a great single carry lens with excellent video capabilities. I recorded a basketball game with great results. This is really the main reason to get the t4i over the t3i.

Haven't seen any previous post where the 600ex was 30% off.
That's because it hasn't been included in one - not even a 15% or 20% off yet.

I've been debating Nikon 5100 v T4i but at this price looks like ill scoop the T4i
What about getting D5100 body for $496 from Rakuten and use the 120k points toward lens?

The T3i is also a quality camera. Don't overlook it unless you really need/want a feature on the T4i.

I always recommend that camera newbies stick with the 18-55 kit lens. The 18-55 IS Kit lens has been refined into a quality lens. The non-IS 18-55 lenses and the 28-80 kit lenses before that were all meh, or worse, but the IS versions have transformed into a fairly good quality lens.

The 18-135 is definitely convenient, but the 18-55 is better looking at shorter focal lengths, which I think more people will find more useful.

I also think that saving the camera newbie a little cash on the lesser expensive kit lens will allow them to decide which focal lengths they would find useful. Maybe the user doesn't need a longer focal length, but would rather invest in an ultra wide angle lens or a better quality standard zoom, like the Canon 15-85. Plus, dedicated telephoto zooms, like the 55-250 f/4-5.6 or 70-200 f/4L stand to have much better quality than the all-in-one zooms. If the user starts liking the idea of an all-in-one zoom, they can then investigate the several different zooms that exist aside from the 18-135, like the 18-200 or one of the offerings by Tamron that go up to 270mm.

Would anyone recommend the EF-S 18-200mm for $435 after this deal? I'm looking for a standard zoom lense.

I've been waiting for a good price to pop up on the EF-S 10-22mm. Picked that up. Thank goodness for a bigger than expected tax refund Smilie

I was looking at the 100mm f/2.8 non IS and the speedlite 320 ex for 555...is that a good price? is that a good speedlite? is the speed lite better than the 230ex?

I think that's a nice, inexpensive combo for low light work. The 28 doesn't seem to have many fans, but it was my go-to indoor lens when I had a crop body.

I would go with at least a 430ex speedlight for just $40 more
