Would anyone recommend the EF-S 18-200mm for $435 after this deal? I'm looking for a standard zoom lens.
A "standard zoom" for an APS-C camera is something along the lines of 18-55mm (or one of the 17-50ish lenses); the 18-200mm is more of a superzoom.

Price-wise, $435 isn't that bad (the lowest I've ever seen it was ~$300 after tax last December). Conventional wisdom states that you'd be better off, optically speaking, with an 18-55mm along with a 55-250mm, rather than a superzoom. You can probably get the 18-55/55-250 combo for less than $435 too.

Personally I love mine for those times when I don't want to bother with changing lenses. Whether the convenience of having one lens is worth the sacrifice in optical quality is up to you.

Thanks for the help guys! That's a really good deal if you got it for around the $300 price range. I'll look into the 18-55mm ones. I'm trying to get into photography and starting to learn about lenses.

I don't want to judge, but I feel like Canon was being shady. Like m3m3, sevimli, and stevedola mentioned after me, the deal did not show up for some time on the page. Now that it's back up, the 17-40 is now out of stock. (For me, the 600EX was never in stock.)

Well, at least it seems like the deal is back up now...
It is not SHADY. You have to check back as often as you can.

Have anyone tried returning the 2200 camera and keep the 600 RT flash, for those who bought both together as a combo with $125 off. Will they return the full amount of camera?

Use my camera for personal use (family photos, events, etc) and I've been in the market for a quality everyday lens. I have the 50mm (don't like as I have to stand far from most subjects) and the lens that came with the kit. What would be a better choice (& deal)... the 17-40 or 10-22?

Appreciate any input, thank you!

I'd say spend a little bit more and get the 17-55 F/2.8 IS. You can sell your 50, since the 17-55 includes it in the range. It's a very sharp lens, constant 2.8 throughout the zoom range and the IS could come in very handy. It's probably the best walk-around lens for the EF-S mount cameras and currently in stock at canon.

I was able to pick up the 600 EX-RT flash and the A2200 camera on the first day. Just received it today and the flash looks brand new. The camera as well. Great conditions on both. Thanks OP

I really want that 10-22, but just bought a new Sigma 17-50 so the budget is a little tight until I can sell some other items. Looks like the free shipping deal ended, that tacks on $15.99 for me. I see they have a promo though for $7 flat-rate 2-day shipping, code is 7MOM13

^^^ I would like to know as well. Even if they return the discounted amount for the camera, the price of the flash was $330 or something I think.
