Kohls has the Burley Bee bike trailer[kohls.com] for $289 and take 30% with code FLOWERS30. Total came to $202.30 before taxes and included free shipping. As a bonus, you earn $40 in Kohl's cash to be used in the near future.
Gets good reviews and the higher end models seem to hold their value on Craigslist well so hoping this does too when the time comes.
we have the velo from costco.. it's great.
i don't know about the one at kohls.. but the one from costco includes the jogging stroller conversion so you can change the front to a single wheel instead of a bar that would connect to a bike.. and use it as a fixed wheel jogging stroller. it also folds flat and the wheels remove easily for storage. lastly, i don't think 10 lbs makes that big a difference unless you are riding uphill for a long period of time. last year, i rode with my 1.5 and almost 5 yr old and it was really easy, until i tried going uphill .. but still doable. hope that helps
The Burley trailers are great, and are true to their name "burley". I took a spill once and the bike and trailer rolled (yikes!) but the kid was fine, strapped in upside down in the 5 point harness. Too young at the time to say "do it again daddy" but the face looked surprised/excited enough to say that.
(Shhh don't tell mom...)
I've looked at the one from Costco at several of their stores and everyone that I have seen on display has a ripped seam,.. for roughly the same price I would buy this one. I don't know if the quality is any better on the Burley but the resale value should be higher because it is a known brand and you can buy replacement/upgrade parts for it (They sell practically every part so it should last forever).
I personally have one of those cheap $90 trailers that you can find at Wal-Mart... Stay away from those. The nylon they use is very poor and deteriates from the heat. The wheels are also small which = crappy ride. If I didn't get mine for free and purchased a new seat for it I would definitely buy this Kohls deal.

I have 2 bike trailers...i have a 2 person trailer from Performance (Kidarooz) and a 1 child carrier from Amazon (Croozer)...the Croozer has a lot thicker fabric (heavier duty), but the wheels are crappy (rusting after 6 years)... both have the same trailer bike mounts... I use the Kidarooz all the time and its held up very well, even carrying nearly 100 pounds of kids in it...
