Thread Details

I was just at Kohl's and they have the SodaStream 60-Liter Carbonator Spare Cylinders on sale for $14.99. Use the 30% Kohl's coupon which brings the refills down to $10.49+tax. Average price for refills is about $30 so thought this was pretty good.

heh, not an option for me; Kohl's is > 100 miles away. Wallyworld is EVERYWHERE! :p Was just offering it as an option.
Bed bath and beyond normally will let one use a 5 off 15 coupon. This is for an extra carts which is nice because you can make less trips to the store saving time and money.

Thanks op. Picked one up. Aside from the slickness of the deal if I already have the original unit, is there any benefit of stacking up on these? Can these be stored for years?

Grabbed 2 of em yesterday. The cashier looked at me very suspiciously, and said in a disgusted voice "Well, I guess you saved 50 bucks huh?"

... Damn straight Peggy.

Should have added $3 filler for $10 back in Kohl's cash woot
I didn't think of it at the time.
This was my first time shopping at Kohl's. I was just trying to get what I wanted and get out.
Does it only make it a warm deal if I didn't maximize my savings potential? Haha

Still good laugh out loud. Though if you do have your receipt, they do allow you to go back and once you hit that $50 mark, they'll give you the Kohl's cash. If you do, it says that it expires, but I've never had an issue using it after it has expired.

Really surprised this deal isn't getting more attention, considering sodastream has been pretty popular here. To get a complete carbonator for $5 less than the cost of a refill is awesome. These things are never on sale anywhere.

I picked up 2 tonight for $10.49 each and bought a few other things to get to $50 for the $10 Kohls cash, which I will use on Thursday to get a third carbonator.

Thanks much for letting us know OP. Sorry some morons gave you a hassle early on due to their own misunderstanding.
Refilling with dry ice is much cheaper.

I've seen the tutorials on that. But you cannot deny that having a spare full cylinder or two on hand is very convenient. Imagine entertaining at a party--"oh sorry Cindy I'll get you that scotch & soda in about 20 minutes--my sodastream ran out of gas and I have to go chop up some dry ice to refill it"

This is a fantastic deal.

Point taken, but I don't drink with anyone named Cindy.

Unfortunately, they are ~100 miles away, as well. It sucks living in bum-frak nowhere -- especially that I lived most of my life in a NYC suburb LOL I am grateful, everyday, for online shopping Stick Out Tongue

No, the correct solution is do both. Have two cylinders, and then refill them both with dry ice! That's what I do and it's great. First cyl runs out, switch. Then when the second does, get some dry ice and fill both. Makes for much less hassle than refilling one at a time.
