The $75 bonus eGift card for $400 eGift card purchase was a slightly better deal.

It has shipped, I'm pretty sure if I fought hard enough they would but unless someone has experience I would rather not potentially get stuck with the gift cards...
I just called them as I was in a similar situation.

They issued me a $50 refund without much fuss. YMMV.

Just $50? Didn't you need to purchase $300 worth of gift cards to get a $350 discount?

Dell site only allows using a single GC on an order, which would mean you can't use the eGC and the Promo GC on the same order unless it can be done over the phone.
exactly, last time I had to call in and waited half an hour to make a purchase, kinda hassle when using it

The deal requires a purchase of a 300 gift card in order to receive a free $50 promo card. Both can be used on one order, either through the phone or through chat. (Online methods only allow you to use one gift card.)

Anyway, I called in asking them if I could re-purchase my laptop with this new promotion in mind, and they decided to just issue me a $50 refund instead, saving me the hassle. I thought this was very kind and surprising, though the rep I spoke with did seem ever so slightly annoyed at my initial request, given that he has probably handled similar calls from folks like us who ordered before this promo started.

Again: YMMV. (My laptop had already shipped when I made this request, which probably means I just lucked out here...but who knows.)

Game over. They will have to re-do the order which means you have to return the shipped computer. Trust me on this one.

So...can you buy THIS twice, and use the $700 credit on this:

Effectively making the TV $300, and getting an extra Dell $300 eGift Card?

thanks, seems crazy to me they would prefer someone returns/rebuys or returns instead of letting one pay the way they would like...
Did you get my PM?

I sent two, but none are showing in my history. If not, here's what I sent ya, which is pretty harmless as public knowledge. :-P
------------------------------------------
1. I called the 1-800 number and hit "0" a bunch of times, which allowed me to reach the operator.
2. I explained my situation to him, and he transferred me to what I believe was the customer care dept.
3. I re-explained my problem and, after a brief hold, was issued a $50 credit.

Good luck!
