eginning May 1, consumers who trade in their current smartphone to AT&T* will be eligible to receive at least $100 off the purchase of a new smartphone, including the new Samsung Galaxy® S 4, BlackBerry® Z10 or 32 GB HTC One®. These devices are normally $199.99 with a qualifying two-year agreement** but, with this limited time promotion, they will be available for $99.99.

This promotion applies to any smartphone AT&T sells, and gives customers access to the latest devices at a fraction of the cost or, in the case of smartphones priced under $99.99**, for free. To take advantage of this offer, customers are encouraged to visit any AT&T company-owned retail store or participating authorized dealer with their previous smartphone that is no more than three years old and in good, working condition. In stores, upon trading in their old phone, customers will receive the $100 credit on-the-spot and can use it immediately. ***

Some trade-in phones may have a value higher than $100. In this case, customers will receive the credit at the higher value.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

11/13/2013 Update ---- This deal is BACK!. http://www.att.com/gen/press-room...le-devices

6/11/2013 Update ---- This deal is DEAD. Phones are back to their recycle or minimal trade-in value

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go on their trade in website and print out the FAQs under the "Help" tab.
Quote :
Can I trade in my device(s) at an AT&T Store?

Yes, you can trade-in your device(s) that you no longer need and use the instant in-store reward towards a new device, product, or service at all of our company owned store locations.
5/9/2013 Update
ATT Corporate Store Reps received emails from Corporate dictating that customers are only allowed 1 trade in per visit. In order to trade multiple phones, you must either visit multiple stores or find an employee willing to take in multiple phones in 1 visit.

Still alive. Find stores that don't lie to you.

Ignore the merged OP. The real Slickdeal is here:
http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=59261624&postcount=70

Which phones qualify for $100?

Confirm that the phones you are turning in/buying qualify for $100 before you go to the store.
https://tradein-program.att.com/h...c=en-us‎

You will get the exact value shown in store. If it shows $5, you will get $5.

Only the phone + battery + back cover are required. Charger and/ or data cable are not.

Do I have to be an ATT customer?

Trade-in's - YMMV. I had to start a gophone account (paid only $10 and got a free SIM) and used that.

Buying full retail devices - at corporate stores YMMV. Some required no account. While others required at least a gophone account. Promo cards can be used at att.com or through 1800/phone. Ask to sign up for month-to-month service (credit check will be run). You have 3 days to cancel and get all your money back. Wink

Where can the promotional giftcards used at?

Promotional cards must be used at B&M corporate stores, att.com, or over the phone only.

What can I purchase with these?
Things you can buy:
  • ATT wireless bill
  • ATT Uverse bill
  • iphones
  • ipads
  • any smartphones
  • gophones
  • prepaid minutes

I added pics of some eligible blackberry's, the optimus elite along with the receipt showing the $10 FB coupon discount

Does this mean a Galaxy 4s is $99 + a Phone + an ETF of $325? I have an old palm pda that would work and definitely has no real resell value.

just something to think about...
Exactly. Electrobento has no words to respond to me after I lay out my reasons why i asked my question. Just stop bullying people online and grow yourself up, before bashing out on people, think first and do not use your tiny brain on your d!ck to think. Use the real brain.

If you have nothing to say or do not have answers to someone question, just shut up. It's for your own good. All your responses show who you really are.

$100 for Bold 9900. Too Bad I ordered the S4 yesterday... It's going for more on Ebay but I would've traded in to avoid the Ebay process.

i know right, I hate people bullying others, when they don't even know the facts them self. it just leaves room for someone else that can actually stand up and point out his flaws.

people are so quick to put others down, there are other ways to present the facts w/o bashing people.

As others have pointed out, the value of trade in is avoiding the nightmare of Craigslist and eBay. I've sold several phones on ebay but only one on Craigslist. It sucked hard. Flakes deadbeats scammers driving around meeting people who then lowball or dicker after agreeing on a price.

What's your time worth.? According to tesla about $50/hr.

I sold two iPhone to buyers in the Ukraine (ebay) . I was nervous as hell but they were legit. But figure eventually you will get scammed (not by Ukrainians apparently) and factor that into the equation.

ebay sucks and now their final value fee is 10% i think + the paypal fee. and craigslist is iffy, but i havent had any problems with either, i guessim lucky but its easier to just get rid of it with att.

I have no clue why this is getting thumbed down so hard. This is a great deal for anyone with an old smartphone that's not worth anything on the open market. I have a few phones from 2010 lying around that nobody would pay more than $20 for, but hey, if AT&T will give me $100 for them, I'll take a One off their hands.

if you just ordered it yesterday, you could go back to the store and activate that 15 days return policy, then buy back the phone with the credit (if you want to do it the hard way).

But I think if you just bought it yesterday, you can just go back to the store and ask for $100 refund instead of using the 15 days return policy.

Good idea. I bought it over the phone and it will be in tomorrow (who has time for brick & mortar), so maybe if I find time this weekend I'll give it a shot. Otherwise I'll have to deal with posting, bidding, and shipping. Activities I like just as much as little as visiting an actual store.
