You can fit in on your countertop if you put the smaller dry blade container on it, but their standard containers do pose height issues for some kitchens.

Yes, this one will just fit under 18" cabinets. It's something Vitamix added to some of their models probably in response to Blendtec. This Vitamix also has preset settings, so it's the best of all worlds (if the price isn't an issue).

This machine is very very popular with Vitamix... and yes the height is 17.4 so it will fit on standard counter tops Smilie

Thanks for posting! It is generally helpful to post the product's final price in the thread title, instead of just the savings amount.

My knee-jerk reaction to this was that it's not a good deal.

But the more I look at it, this is a pretty good deal. I'm going to have to think about this one (vs a refurb 7500). I do want two containers (mainly so my wife can have one to not clean when she's done with it...)

Ugh. I just bought this 2 days ago at Williams Sonoma. They were having an in-store demo and I bought it for $649, but I was also able to buy the 32oz. dry goods container for $50, which I thought was a decent deal considering you rarely see deals like this on the Vitamix blenders...particularly this model. I'm going to keep it though as the lady at Williams Sonoma was super nice and very helpful.

This is a pretty nice deal though.

Yeah, title is misleading.
Friend is looking for a similar deal as the used blendtec, which was around the "savings" price.

You can change it...click edit and then the "go advanced" button and you can change it. Rep'd btw...a very good deal on this high end unit esp w/ the cheap 2nd pitcher. Vitamix sure doesn't give these "countertop units" away...

Thanks, OP. I was going to get a refurbished 300 model straight from Vitamix for 399 + tax = 437 but they were out of stock.

Instead I get a new 300 (7 year warranty instead of 5) + the dry foods container for $521 shipped. Much better deal.
