Deal Details

Sears has the new sharp LE650U 70" LED TV on sale for $1699, which is a pretty good deal considering that many people went hunting for last year's model for only $100 less.

Delivery is free, additional $35 coupon code SEARS35OFF300AFFILIATEDEALS does not deduct online, but I don't see any exclusions that would prevent you from applying it over the phone... YMMV on that though Wink

Make sure you go to checkout (after the sign in page) to see the $1699 price.

After watching 3D on my sony 55", i would like to get 80" or even bigger...but it's too steep....
That's the problem with 3D; it needs to take up your whole field of view or the effect is ruined. It's better to just spend money occasionally to see 3D movies in the theater from time to time rather than invest a bunch in a home setup that you'll hardly ever use. I equate 3D TVs to owning something along the lines of a pool table. Everyone I've known who has ever had one never uses the damn thing.

Right, we have a 65" MITSU 3D DLP rear projection set for several years now , and it's great. The replacement for this one will be at least a 70" 1080p & 3D compatible. I'm hoping by the end of 2014 there will be reasonable priced 4K & 3D compatible sets available for not too much of a price premium. Seiki already offers a 50" 4K bare bones model for $1500. But it really makes no sense buying any 4K sets right now. No content available.

Not true. We watch regularly the ESPN college football games, X Games and basketball in 3D. I would say about 1-2 a week during football season. And once a while we watch a Blu-ray 3D movie.. which looks even better than the lower res broadcast 3D version (due to bandwidth limits).

BTW: The day the TV makers figured how to get rid off the glasses requirement, is the day 3D will take off a like a rocket.

So there's a 15$ off $50 coupon that sears sent me, but when I apply it, it says 15% off orders over $50.

Also 10% back from Discover.

Makes this tv ~ $1300 after tax.

Anyone want to buy this 55lm4600 I just bought lol

We bought the 2012 Sharp at Costco a few month's ago for $100 more.
No regrets! Great machine so far.
What an improvement in view experience over our old 50" Sony.

Just make sure you guys get the extended warranty. I have nothing but problems with my Aquos 60" LED from Sharp. I bought it on Aug 2011 and had problems just months after buying it. The problem is Sharp doesn't have a 3rd party to fix my TV in NJ. They had to get someone from Brooklyn NY. Problem is the 3rd party never showed up to fix my TV on two appointments and then tells me they refuse to go to my house since it's too far. The problem has gotten worse and I call Sharp again and now they refuse to even warranty it since it passed the warranty.

I had to get my lawyer to write a letter to them about the issues and force them to fix the tv as is explained in their warranty coverage. It was a registered letter and they had 10 days to respond to the letter....would you believe Sharp didn't even bother responding?

My lawyer says she is no stranger to Sharp and how they treat customers. Sharp simply doesn't care. You must hound them to get service. You must continue to call them for updates on service. They will never call you. Ever. If you open a case with them and it doesn't get resolved, they will never call you.

I have a $1500 POS on my wall and Sharp doesn't care.

I had a similar problem with another Asian manufacturer. I simply filed suite in small claims court. I got a call the next day begging me to withdraw the case with an offer to overnight me a check.

They paid for all court costs, replacement costs and said to keep the laptop.
