The specs say NO for motorcycles
Good thing we know otherwise. This is an excellent oil for wet clutch jaso spec vehicles.

I use it in my ltr450

Has anyone gotten the rebate from the last deal yet?

Luckily it's a great price before rebate.

Using it in a tdi as well. *high5*
I got email confirmation of the last rebate (after getting denied for trying to submit before picking it up).

I use regular oil, so even if this wasn't synthetic, it probably wouldn't be worth while for me to do my own oil changes when the quick lube charges $27 out the door.

Their synthetic packages are around $70-$80 though, in which case I'd probably do my own.

Doesn't 40 weight oil help with seals if you've got an older vehicle that burns/leaks oil?

Rotella is very popular for motorcycles. The JASO MA spec is good enough for my F650GS. I put 15W-40 Rotella T conventional oil in my bike two weeks ago and paid around $10 for 3 qts. I would have used T6 if this deal popped up sooner.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the rebate to print correctly? Can't seem to get the full page to print out, some of it is getting chopped off to the right?

Highly recommended for WRXs, and cheaper than walmart. Picked up 2! Good deal even without rebate!
Don't you need 5W-30 for WRX?

In case anybody out there has a Passat B6, apparently this oil works very well in the 2.0T engines. This is apparently group III as opposed to the Shell Helix (group IV), but works almost identically. Some people even suggest it over the Ultra Synthetic for certain climates, and the price is just a bonus. People seem to think 23$ a gallon w/ tax is a deal, so 9$ is making out like a bandit.

This forum post is for STi's, and people seem to really recommend it.

It may say that in the manual, and you'd be correct in that case - but research and experience from current and past WRX owners say this T6 is one of the best choices you can make.

Shop Discover is also 5%. I bought two for the rebate limit, and am still ordering more because it's a great deal even without a rebate.

Thanks OP. In for 1 since I'm not sure what the shelf life is on oil and I only change my motorcycle oil once a year. Being synthetic, I see no reason why this shouldn't last at least 10k miles.

I never did receive my $5 rebate from the one back in March. I uploaded my receipt on the rebate entry.

nice. Got 3 of this for my mazdaspeed 3. I'll get rebates on 2 and a good deal on the third. This is the one bad thing about a turbo - 5.5 Qt oil changes.

This shit is like ranch dressing, I put it in everything!

Seriously though, this is a great price for a great oil that many have been using for a decade at least. It goes in my Cummin's, Hemi, M3, sport bikes, quads, dirtbikes, lawnmowers, and weedeaters. It just WORKS!

Rebate form says it is only good for 1 gallon, so it looks like you need to send in 2 separate forms if you purchase 2 gallons? Have had trouble with Shell rebates in the past, looks to me like they make things difficult so they can deny your rebate!
