Also, the top negative review concludes after resolving problems found with the light: "My overall recommendation would be to pass on this work light and look closer at the rechargeable 35 LED work light model number 73904."

Could some one who is using these, please have a look at the AC adapters and let me know whether this will work with 240V AC. I observe that in the manual, it is specified that it is for 100-120V AC but the adapter may be for 240V AC. I travel a lot and I want to know this will work in Asian countries?

110/120 only

Although it also comes with a 12 volt cigarette charger that should work in any car in any country Smilie

Thanks for the heads-up. Couldn't get the coupon to apply, either, so I attempted to do a web chat and see what could be done.

Long story short: don't waste your time with the web chat. After 20 minutes, they just advised me to "Please call SYW customer care at 1-888-828-4701 for further assistance on this coupon code. I am sorry but I have searched this website for all coupon codes and I do not have access to what codes are given to customer's profiles."
Promo code for the $5 off $25 (in tools) is 9700012977601216 (at least for me). You have to be a SYW rewards member to be able to use the coupon.

I bought one of these years ago after using one in a friend's garage. Still works, batteries still hold a good charge. I've lost the original charger but I found one that charges it okay. Never tried to run it plugged in, though I can try when I get home. I get the impression it'll work although it may still be at a power deficit (slowly drain the battery).

No way I'd take it backpack camping. I took it car-camping once and it was fine, for getting around the campsite at night and such, but it's way too big and heavy for backpacking. Get a headlamp and a little flashlight, you'll be happier.

My only complaint about it is that the rubber over the button has stiffened to the point where it takes quite a bit of force to click, considerably more than I can generate with just one finger.

Too bad we have no idea how many lumens this light gives off. Considering the Rayovac Sportsman LED Lantern is a lot more rugged and one of the brightest portable lanterns in the market(although not rechargeable), it's probably a better value for $7 more:

http://www.amazon.com/Rayovac-Spo...amping+led

This lamp often goes on sale for about $18 at Amazon.

The Craftsman charge lasts for only 6 hours, which can be a pain at the most inopportune moment. The Rayovac with 3 D batteries will last more than 40 hours!

I found a similar type Energizer camping style lamp on clearance at Target recently for about $7-8. It uses 4 D batteries or car cigarette plug-in.

But you're missing the point. This Craftsman is geared towards for repairing your car, especially when you have to crawl under your car. The camping type won't work very well for such situation.

Thanks for the clarification. As one clearly can tell, I am no car mechanic.
