That's the ignorance of ppl now a days, just have to do a little reading, all of these modern day "Pentium" and even "Celeron" are all limited version of i-core chips, and all being dual-core with benchmarks that work well with most, if not all daily usage tasks.

It'll handle it fine, assuming youtube and watching videos on the laptop and such.

Good laptop if you just need something for on the go for pedestrian every day work. Why pay for a i series processor when this will suffice day to day. For better performance slap in a SSD more so than worry about the processor.

The nerds who debate i3 vs pentium can scream all they want, but this is not a slickdeal. If this had an i3 which is a significantly superior CPU in every single way, it would be slick.

And just fyi, amazon taxes MOST americans now, so please don't post amazon deals with "no tax for many".

i dont think it is a slickdeal because it is still expensive for a 15inch.

Okay this needs to be made straight and its easy to confirm my facts, this is not a Pentium in any way that people remember this is a different architecture. Its not the same pin set, its got the same name but its simply not the same thing. A i3 is NOT a Significaly superior CPU in every way, its better but not mind blowing. This CPU has a passmark that is higher then

AMD Phenom X4 Quad-Core GP-9500
Intel Core2 Duo T9600 @ 2.80GHz
AMD Phenom II P920 Quad-Core
Intel Xeon L5238 @ 2.66GHz
Intel Core i3 M 330 @ 2.13GHz *yup it has a higher passmark then a older I3* Its just not the same CPU guys forget the name.

Just consider that this model is listed on PASSMARKS benchmarking web site as a Highmid range CPU.

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/mid_range_cpus.html

EDIT* I have no comment on the actual deal as I have not looked it over but people need to look at real facts this is in no way a Pentium of our fathers generation.
