Do to worry about the 30 CC difference between the two mowers. Both are rated at 6.75 ft.lbs. Honda tends to be a little less noisy and uses less fuel.

Don't forget to use Shopdiscover for 10%. It would make this a great deal.

If you are looking for rear wheel drive there is a link to a honda model for 320.00+tax YMMV from home depot.

I am trying to get the discounts to apply to a diff Craftsman Honda mower (I need RWD) here [sears.com]
but the codes don't help. Any idea why?

Seems like the 10% sale doesn't apply to that model, if it did it'll tell you right on the product page

Cool, I was just in store looking at them today. I am not moving into my new home (out of my apartment) for another month but I am a little tempted to get this now. Seems like a good deal.

How often does a deal like this show up? I was really looking to get a push mower but getting this self-propelled for this price seems pretty good. I'm itching to get it. Might order anyways and then decide tomorrow if I want to cancel.

Just raised the starting price to $299.99, so it'll now be $10 more I guess. Guessing the price change happened at midnight CST, but I got my order in for $242+tax.

During checkout I signed up for SYW and right after I submitted my order I received the $10 off coupon... so I might try and get them to take it off when I pick it up in store tomorrow.

Thanks for the deal, I think I'll definitely prefer this to a push mower.

I can't find the Craftsman Honda model on the Consumer Reports website, but the Craftsman one is not recommended. It got 53/100 and was ranked fair in handling and ease of use.

Off topic: for any one with a small flat lawn, Cud Cadet SC100 was rated as the best push lawn mower per CR.

it costs $249

I have owned this Honda powered Craftsman for almost 6 years now. Not a bit of trouble. Works like a champ and does a beautiful job. My property size is about 3/4 of an acre, and this thing is amazing. If you need a mower, do not hesitate.

Hope this helps you.

Now if I could find a decent deal on a Honda powered weed wacker!?

Good mower, but it isn't self-propelled like the one in the post - so not exactly a fair "apples to apples" comparison price wise.

I got this mower for a similar price about 4 years ago. I have an average size lawn and it works great. After every winter I have changed the oil and it has always started on the first pull.

I associate the Craftsman name with American made. I associate Honda name with Japan made. Combining the two may have made a nice product but it would seem Sears is nowhere near the same store as it was. They could really clean up if they marketed American made products I believe. However, they act like a discount store most of the time (aligning with their KMart store philosophy). I guess this is what you do when you bleed money in a retail operation. Sears is on the same road as JC Penny and will be gone soon IMO. As for this product? You can beat Honda engines. They run forever....TU OP.
