Just scored one from Staples in store after talking to the manager. I got the display model because there were none left in stock. For the tablet + keyboard it ended up being $87.99 because the charger was worn and the manager took an extra $15 off. I just had to bring in the print out from the Staples website and they price matched everything. Happy customer! I may resell it on ebay or something....
Nah, touchpad was more exciting because there were no $200 tablets back then... not even the Kindle Fire. IPad was the cheapest tablet on the market at the time and BlackBerry and Samsung were trying to price gouge us into paying iPad prices for their 7" tablets. Tegra 3 is old tech and ARM devices do not preserve their values. Once the next Nexus lands, the current Nexus model should be at least $150 (probably lower) and this deal won't seem so slick.
Called the two stores that had it in stock, they knew exactly what I was talking about and promptly said they didn't have any stock. Wondering if I can price match at BestBuy or Fry's.
Might try calling some stores close by and see if they have a display model. Not sure if its a good idea asking about the display model though?
