Rebate requires UPC barcode label. If it ships in brown box since refurbished, will box contain a UPC bar code?
I'm puzzled by this too. Any idea why they require UPC bar code for a refurnished item?

This is a great deal. I love my Nexus 7. I might be passing it down to my wife if the alleged Nexus 11 is released, though. There are several occasions when I wish I had a bigger screen. Everything else about this tablet is superb.

They require a UPC on almost every rebate. Yes, there will be one on the brown box.

If you look at the very bottom of the product page, it tells you the UPC. The UPC and Model # match the rebate offer, so you are good to go.

I love how people (not saying you) always question rebates when I clearly double-checked everything before posting. The mods did too, which is why this deal made the FP.

If TD wasn't already aware of the rebate, they definitely would be now because some people feel the need to have CS agents verify everything. If there is no instruction form, how did you guys think a chat agent would have knowledge of it?

I wouldn't be surprised if someone at TD manually removed all the inventory for this item and it will magically reappear sometime tomorrow (if they are modifying the rebate end date). While the traffic driven to this tablet probably was a red flag, it certainly doesn't help matters when people keep questioning CS agents about it.

Thanks for your kind explanation! I bought one four hours ago, and had already repped you. Really appreciate the deals you put here. Have a nice day...

Exactly! Someone at TD removed the inventory and edited the rebate validity.

The ppl here don't understand 'SD rule # 1: 'Don't call/ chat'.

May I ask why the need for multiple tablets? Is this something you take with you outside of your home as well? What do you use it for other than email and web browsing?

that is your OPINION. Slickdeals encourages everyone to share their opinion about every post.
My son and I both have one (2) and my wife wants one.

Yes I take mine everywhere. It fits in a coat pocket or back jean pocket nicely. I use mine for work. I remote desktop into servers for admin and ticket creation. I also play games on mine (as the Tegra 3 was built for gaming [4+1 CPU and 12-Core GPU]). I also use it for Netflix/Hulu streaming when I travel or just at home in bed. We have cut the cable cord years ago, so Netflix/Hulu is our main TV. Between 2 N7's and the TV, everyone can be watching something different.

I use mine for everything. And again, my wife is jealous.

And if anyone knows of a better 7" tablet, please feel free to link to it.

I have two questions:

How long is the warranty?

Is it possible to obtain a Square Trade Warranty on this refurb?

Thanks,

Soar
the website says 3 month limited warranty. Generally Square Trade does not offer warranties on used or refurbed electronics. I believe if you purchase some refurbs/used items from Ebay it may be covered.

What do you use for a stand when watching a movie on it - i.e., while in bed?

Do not trust Tigerdirect. Especially with rebates.

You don't have to take my word for it, do some research:

Look them up on Google, or anywhere else. Tigerdirect should be banned from this site. You cannot trust Tigerdirect.

You have been warned.

Recently they are very good at processing the rebates, I have received mines ( around 6 to 8 different rebate offers) in about 2 weeks.

Same here, the turn around time for a rebate I sent them recently was a little less than two weeks.

Rebate has been removed! I ordered this morning and checked the rebate (for a refurbished item) before going to work. Now it is gone. How can you register without having the item and the serial number?

Does anyone have a .pdf of it?

Now the website cannot find the rebate offer code, so they removed the rebate silently. Guess we should cancel the order?
