the website says 3 month limited warranty. Generally Square Trade does not offer warranties on used or refurbed electronics. I believe if you purchase some refurbs/used items from Ebay it may be covered.
DC,

Thanks for the info!

This is my first go with a TD rebate, but OP commented on this before the rebate disappeared.

Thanks for the number. I called and registered by phone. I spoke to Nazly, who took all the information and said I would be emailed the forms to submit with the proper required documentation. I asked for the expedited rebate, which cost $7.

Nazly said that the online registration expired at 12 pm, but did say that you could register by phone.

I guess it is up to everyone to decide whether they want to take that chance.

Try to cancel. Already shipped.

"Alexis Labonete: Unfortunately your order has already been shipped so we were unable to cancel it. Please refuse the shipment. Once we receive your order please allow up to 5 business days for a refund to be issued. Please note that shipping is non-refundable. "

I have registered the rebate. But I don't want to take the risk.

called in and spoke to the rebate people and they said that the offered expired today (it was originally set till the 11th), and that I should be good because I already submitted mine Smilie

Cancel your order ASAP!!
They (people who process rebate) won't be able to see and validate the rebate either.

Now the website cannot find the rebate offer code, so they removed the rebate silently. Guess we should cancel the order?
For all those above, tripping out about the $70 Mail-In Rebate Online Registration closing... please be advised that this has happened in the past. That is why I told everyone to register for the rebate immediately after completing their purchase because I had a feeling this was going to happen.

Clearly TigerDirect didn't intend to sell this at $130 AR. The cheapest they've sold it for in the past is $189.99 AR, meaning their cost per unit is probably somewhere between $160 to $180.

Please see these threads for reference on rebate registration that has been pulled:

TigerDirect will honor the $70 rebate. The only inconvenience is that now you have to call in to register for the rebate. I suggest doing so immediately.

The Rebate Center Phone # is: 1-800-286-9146
Their offices are open from 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST.

Be persistent with the phone agent and tell them you want to register for Rebate Offer #TD-9485, but the online site isn't allowing you to. They should be able to register you via phone and give you your tracking # (and it will also be sent to you via e-mail).

You will need to have your Order # handy and tell them you purchased it at the "TigerDirect.com Website" on May 7th, 2013.

If you have already purchased and registered for the rebate (before it closed), you shouldn't have any issues receiving your prepaid card. To double-check that your rebate is still active in the system, go HERE [4myrebate.com].

Input your tracking # (which should have been sent to you via e-mail) and zip code.

I was just able to call in and the agent on the phone was able to input all of my information on her end and sent me an email with my rebate form I need to mail in once I have a UPC. I received a rebate tracking number email just as I have the other times I have done TD rebates.

Just make sure you call soon because my rebate form says the valid dates are 5/05-5/07. Its my own fault for not registering right away but I had to leave for school~ come home and poof, it's gone. It's a shame people get paranoid and talk to CS, it never helps. CS has no clue most of the time anyways. Thanks for posting the deal OP, I appreciate it and I am pretty confident TD will honor the rebate (fingers crossed).

Just as well. You were never going to get your rebate from TricksterDirect.

I had the same feeling and took your advice. Usually I register rebates on or the day before I receive the item. Thanks again TDMVP73

Glad you listened. Smilie

I think you should have no issues receiving your $70 rebate, as long as you follow instructions and include a copy of the Invoice and UPC from the box.

TigerDirect has never not paid out a rebate offer that was already registered for, even if they stopped online registration.

Too bad I missed this deal. Did anybody get a shipping confirmation yet? Usually retailers don't have to honor pricing errors, they can just cancel your order.

What do you use for a stand when watching a movie on it - i.e., while in bed?
hold it or prop it up against a pillow or use my book cover case.

I'll tell you right now that built-in "stands" are useless in a bed. You just have to make it work. I usually lay on my back. I put a pillow on my stomach and lean the tab on the pillow. My book cover case also makes a good tent to stabilize the device.

I got a shipping confirmation early this morning, UPS tracking number shows it was in Georgia last night. I paid a few bucks extra for 2 day so it's supposed to be here tomorrow. Not sure if I'll get the rebate but everything looks good so far as I registered online immediately after the order.
