Yea we had a FP deal for the white speaker set for $350 + Tax just alone recently, this particular bundle is a great deal since for only $80 more (no tax most states), you are getting a really good Denon receiver Whee

Great deal. Might want to strike quick on this one cause there is a profit margin there for flippers.

I got a Denon a couple years ago and really liked it. Buying an AVR can be so complicated! You really need to pick and choose what features you want when on a limited budget.

But I wouldn't hesitate to consider Denon in the future.

How does this one compare with Onkyo HT-S9400THX 7.1-Channel HTIB. In terms of sound quality, value and over all features? Hopping to catch that one in $500-$600 range.

Yep, about $100 give or take. 1613 for $300ish and HKTS 16 for the same. Just gotta wait it out.

The AVR 1613 is being replaced by an E Series model. The AVR 1713 is the first to be replaced in the X Series line.

Here is nice comparison between the E and X Series and how they will differ from the current AVR models offered.
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1465528...thread-faq

I currently have an AVR 1612 running a 3.1 setup, that is similar to this set. I basically left the rear speakers in the box and I don't think I will miss them. I was looking for an upgrade over a soundbar.

This seems like a nice deal. If you're looking to upgrade your tv speakers I think this is a good route to go.

Damn this is a solid deal. I paid $330 a month ago for the speakers alone (in white).

You go right ahead...
Your math sucks...
And I am sure these won't go any cheaper as they are last years model. You "wait it out"...

I think the Audyssey is an added bonus. Not sure if all AVR manufacturers have a similar feature but although a professional installed my other two Denon receivers, I'll be scrimping this time around.
