Nevermind, I'll keep my Pioneer. It's downfiring and has about the same output.

I have the LP-2020A+ Lepai Tripath Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier driving two small Energy speakers. How can I incorporate this sub into this setup? I see that the sub has inputs from the amp, but I don't think I can connect the two speakers to the sub, as I do not see an "out" port. Can this be done?

Meh... pass...
45Hz-150Hz+/-3dB

My bookshelf speakers go below that.

Sorry for the repost, but how does this compare with Polk PSW 10 which I can get from my local craiglist for $80? Thanks for any insight and Tia

Split the audio output cable, one end going to the mini amp and the other going to the sub.

According to the specs, not much more than a lower output than this one. Plus, Polk IMO is a better quality speaker. I personally would spend the extra $ for the Polk.

Plus, Polk has a 5 year warranty (although I'm not sure that would count on a craigslist sale) whereas Energy only has 1 year. Recently, I contacted Polk for a speaker that was days out of warranty and they were nice enough as a courtesy to cover it....needless to say, I will be a return customer. If you do buy it, I would contact Polk and register it immediately with them, if you call them, they may let it slide and let you register.

I want this but have zero need for this...

Currently running a Malestrom 18in with a 850 watt rms amp in a 7ft sealed enclosure.

This one doesn't have a passthrough like your Sony does, so it won't pass a signal back to a speaker. Generally the line in (RCA) input is better to use than the high level (speaker wire) input anyway.
I guess the best question for me is why pass through? And if the energy cant pass through, what are the 4 clips for?

Decent sub. $15 lower than normal price. I would rather get the Polk psw-10 which is normally on sale for $80

The general answer is only use the speaker wire connections if you don't have the RCA style connection on your receiver/amplifier.

As far as the no passthrough on the energy sub, maybe somebody else has a better idea of how/why you would use that. I think some receivers have dedicated speaker wire outputs for a sub.

Down to 45hz is BARELY a sub at all. And two aren't going to get your lows. Its a good price for an entry level sub but it really isn't going to do much for you.

Not to many on these boards know anything about good equipment. Exodus was a good little company with amazing products! Too bad Kevin got burned by his Chinese suppliers.

I'm surprised you want this, though. This sub is absolute, utter junk. It's a midbass module, not a sub.

14 x 11.5 x 12 inches ; 15 pounds
Yikes. 15lbs. Looks like a HTIB sub without the avr/satellites.

Shipping weight for two of these BIC bookshelves is twice that. That's a very thin wall on that Energy sub.
