Just a kind remind. This VPN doesn't work in China due to technical reasons if you plan to use it there.
> I'm sure it is due to Chinese government's efforts in censoring everything they don't like and blocking every channels they cannot censored.

Not working with australia.edu, maricopa.edu

Has anyone found a .edu solution for us old timers who arent in school?

THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR TORRENTS, they are blocked!! Dont ask!

Most VPNs will slow down your connection making it useless to download.
With 'Private Internet Access', I can get about 15mbps down, would hardly call that useless..

becareful with this company, they auto-subscribed you into payments and make it very difficult for you to cancel the auto-subscription. They either hide the option in a maze full of links you have to click through or don't even show the option until you call them and complain about it.

just what I needed. I've been using a public proxy for certain torrents (HBO) since Cox notified me and I am hoping this is faster. thanks OP!

Thank you OP!

Now, I'm trying to get this to work with my Android using the app linked from m.hotspotshield.com [hotspotshield.com] and using the account code listed at hsselite.com/account/stats [hsselite.com] but it keeps replying that my code is not valid.. Anyone have better luck, or am I going about this with maybe the wrong account code.

I'm pretty sure it's only valid for iOS, Windows, and Mac devices only.

Rep to whoever can figure out how to use this without using their silly app. I have enough VPN clients on my Mac...

In regards to speed, I did a few speed tests and I'm averaging between 18 -30 Mbps down (and even got 44 Mbps once). I normally get 65 Mbps without a VPN so take it for what it's worth. Still great to have for public wifi and torrents, etc.

I signed up with an .edu email address but it's still got me on the free tier. Do you get an email later that has an elite key you can redeem, or should it have been automatic?

You have to click the link in the email to activate the account, but that's it.

This software is awful and slow i do not recommend at all even for free. If your router supports it, set up your own vpn on it and connect to that when in public.
