Shipping: shipping was on time and great - no problems
Looks: the laptop physically looked very clean/new - so that was great
NOT SO GREAT was when i opened it up and started to use it. the specific laptop i received had a touch pad problem, where it will act like there was a phantom finger on the touch pad that will move the cursor around the screen. it will make the laptop almost unusable.
Contacted sony's customer support - they did remote log in - couldnt fix the problem.
Called customer support by phone - they said this is the only one they have so they cant give me a replacement. only repair or refund. set an appointment for a technician to show up to my location to replace the touch pad. wait 1 week, no technician. Call again, they set appointment again - and technician shows up.
When he shows up with the replacement touch pad - he says its not worth replacing. Says i downloaded the wrong drivers. goes to sony.com downloads the same driver i did (download window days file already exists - and he tells me no this is a different file than the one you have) and instals it - then says problem fixed and leaves.
So after two weeks or trying to work with customer support to get the laptop working - no luck - and returned it to get a refund.
Refund process was very quick and easy which was great.
And now they have the same laptop with the same specs as the one i returned - not sure if it is the same one with the faulty touch pad - what are the odds?
Bit of a long story but
TL;DR: bought a laptop, had faulty touch pad, they would not replace it, tried two weeks for repair, got a very easy/quick refund.
