looks like links are not working ...which means deal is dead....but in WIKI post there is a PDF for the form. Print it ...fill it..and bring it to COSTCO
What do you mean by WIKI post? Can you just give us a link? Are you guys saying I can't use paypal debit mastercard to pay for things at Costco?

do they require costco card when buying their hotdog combo? sams does not require it.
Some Costco has food court inside. Just tell "membership checker" that you're parents/hot girlfriends are inside shopping. They will let you go in.

You don't need membership to buy food/drink.

Everyone gets to vote with their dollar. I won't shop at a place where the employees look like caged animals with no hope. I dislike their parking lots. It takes forever to checkout and I value my time. Then you factor in the quality issues, unstocked shelves. In the end I also find they tend to have higher price to boot! Not sure how anyone can shop there, but it is their time and money so who am I to say otherwise.
Exactly right. You shop where you want, I'll shop where I want, and everyone's happy! No need to get into long debates about why I "hate" a certain store or "love" another one. It's not like you or I are going to change anyone's mind, anyway. There are things I like and don't like about pretty much every store out there. That includes everyone's favorite "whipping boy", Walmart. I see positives and negatives about it, just as clearly as I see the positives and negatives about Costco. Both have quite a few +/- I would say. I shop at both, but neither exclusively.

The link doesn't work anymore. So I printed the PDF out and went to Costco to upgrade from normal to executive membership. The customer service person said that it's only for new memberships and not upgrades. She said she'll put the code in and told me to wait and see if the coupons will come.

So are the others who have tried to do this, coupons are sent? or were you able to get the goodies immediately?

I feel bad that everyone is hating on this thread. It was a valid deal on Zulily. It was supposed to expire tomorrow but there were only a limited number of memberships available so it sold out today at 6 am. I was disappointed because I was going to buy it today, but I guess these deals happen all the time, so maybe I'll wait until next time.

I look at Costco as a place to get a good deal on above average stuff for an average or slightly below average price compared to other stores. Using green beans for an example. They have Hanover beans, great quality at a unit price cheaper than Hanover beans at any other store. I can go to Aldi or Walmart and get off brand green beans for much less. Are the Aldi or Wal-mart brand green beans good enough? For me yes, for others, maybe not. Same with paper towels. Kirkland brand are nice and thick, large rolls, and great quality but... what if you just want lower cost lower quality paper towels that are good enough for most uses? Costco doesn't have them. For the meats? Costco may be the same price meat at a local grocery store but Costco meat is much better quality in my opinion. Very close in price to local stores. If Costco had the same meat quality and cuts as the local grocery store, it would probably sell for $2 less per pound and would be the clear price winner all around but that is not the way Costco competes. They charge close to the same price but give you slightly better quality. Some things at Costco like soda, drinks, many canned goods etc are just more expensive than other places.

For our family in the ideal world, a trip to Aldi, Costco, and a grocery store would yield us the best "value" and quality expectations across the board for everything but it rarely works out that way in practice.
I agree with everything except for the meat part. Stores use grocery grade beef or sometimes grade A beef. Costco sells choice or prime grade beef. I buy all of my meat in the bag or by the case. Prices may be comparable but the quality isn't.

I'm planning on using the pdf also with a current regular membership. Did you ever get the coupons or find out anything more about upgrading from regular membership?
