Thread Details

With the new LTE roll-out, I have been experiencing significantly more 'issues' with Sprint service lately and called customer service...

888-211-4727

...menu choices thru to phone issues, talk to customer service rep.

1: Explained the issues
2: Asked if there was any credit available...'YES'

They looked up options for my account and found that I was eligible for a $25 credit on my bill for the next 4 months...'yes, thank you'. I might have been able to push for more, but felt the credit was fair given the issues I faced.

One friend got the same ( we're both on SERO - one of their cheapest plans). Another (on a more expensive plan), got his entire bill of $75 free for 2 months - again, without hassle.

Been a Sprint customer for many years, and have had a handful of credits over the years, but nothing ever this easy - it appears that Sprint has significantly up'd their CS and they are prepared with account-specific credits for those who are having problems with the new roll-out.

Go's without saying that YMMV, but if you're having any issues, probably worth a try.

NOTE: Time will tell, but the 'underground' word is that once new service is rolling - issues will be extremely rare - fingers crossed Big Grin

Cool thanks. Can you please tell us more about what these 'issues' are?

^^I travel extensively and I swear no matter what major city I am in I can hardly find 4G and if I do it seems to be only strong in the downtown areas. If I wasn't on SERO since 06 and getting a true unlimited data plan I would drop them like a bad habit!
long story short, they are high on the suck'tivity list.

Dropped phone calls, failed texts, slow/paused internet...
They claim to see these issue on the tower service records.
Tell them the problems that YOU'RE having.

I would have to agree. I'm on the family plan (2 line) and looking for different carrier right now. Unlimited 3g...what a joke

I just tried to call, but I spoke with a tech and he told me to update my profile/prl on my phone. He transferred me to account services to see what credits I could get and I ended up getting nothing... =/

No credit but they did send me a free airave and waved the monthly cost. Took 30 minutes of complaining.

Back in November they gave me a $40.00 per month credit because of the constant issues I am having. But I chat/call almost monthly to complain about the problems. $146.00 a month after taxes is a ridiculous amount to pay for the problems I have. West Michigan has horrible service.

I plan on switching to Ting.com. It's a great option, unfortunately still uses the Sprint network.

Back in the day I got $20 off for 24 months and had a 25% discount on top of that. Those were the days, but Sprint still sucks.

Same here. You would think living in a large city like Dallas I would have no problem finding signal and get 4g most places but that is hardly the case. I roam inside my apartment without the airave and still drop calls regularly even with it. If my bill weren't so low I would have left them years ago.
