The MY Choice service is free but free premium for 3 months... can't hurt. Use and abuse it slickdealers...

Use code "BDYE808Q7" when upgrading for free to premium in the promotion code area.

http://vip.zappos.com/d2/ups-my-choice

I don't know if it is reuseable, I guess we'll find out in 3 months. nod

DO NOT FORGET to uncheck auto-renewal (even though they don't have any payment information on you). Smilie

For existing members

1. Under the Tracking Tab, go to Access My UPS Choice
2. Click Manage Delivery Addresses
3. There will be a column that says Change Membership Level, select that
4. Use code for each address.
5. You are now upgraded, and will need to turn off auto renewal, for each address, if applicable.
OR

Thanks op. Upgraded. Apparently there is a 3.50 charge to upgrade surepost. Had I known I may not have upgraded. Hopefully this won't mess the free service once it expires in 3 mos

You can turn off both of these(auto renew and auto upgrade) if you don't want to use them. Although the auto upgrade shouldn't be on by default, only the auto renew.

1 - just login and go to ups home page
2 - click the top tab that says my UPS. just click it.
3 - go to the upper right and hit "customize My UPS"
4 - Check the box to show "my choice premium"
5 - click submit
6 - now you should see "my choice premium" on your homepage. (if not on your home screen, repeat step 2)
7 - in the "my choice premium" box click on "Go to my choice delivery planner"
8 - in the upper right shaded area of that box, click on "preferences"
9 - here you can edit your premium options. Just click the "edit" in the shaded box of your choice.

that was the first way I found to go back in and edit it although there may be a different way too

How can UPS know all of my personal info, such as what car do I own?; what college do I attend?

For signature required on delivery type packages, you can ask them to ship to anywhere close to where you will be.. i always use it to get it redirected to the ups facility at work. Smilie

Soft credit inquiry probably ... with just a name and address is all that is required to do that. This is normally done for security.

This is an awesome deal. I am frequently away from home and 10 dollars to have it shipped somewhere else or to a store wasn't worth it.

BTW, this membership is set to autorenew, so make sure you turn the option off unless you want to be billed after the promotional period is over.

Thanks OP. UPS often leaves packages at my door when I'm not home and I'd rather they be left with a neighbor.
