This deal is for some people who can afford expensive watches, but obviously it is not for some people who want to wear Timex.
I am pretty sure some post like this "my timex is better, cheaper and lasts longer than this tag heuer" will be here.
So, the deal is hot for some and cold for others. It is up to you to buy the cheap watch or the expensive watch. Expensive watch doesn't mean that it is a bad deal. Different people might have different opinion. Otherwise, there won't be rich and poor.

FYI : LVMH stands for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. They are reputable. They own many well-known brands including Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Zenith, Tag Heuer, etc.

Please note that they charge TAXES. Free Shipping and No Return. There is 2 year warranty for Tag Heuer. If you want to extend it, buy it with some credit card that can extend your warranty.

That being said, I hope that they have the Calibre 16 at a good price, I have been wanting it for about 7 months now, but didn't want to pay the price at a local retailer.
FYI, the Calibre 16 is the same 7750 movement found in sub-$1000 Tissots, Hamiltons, etc. The Calibre 1887 is a better deal as far as Tag Heuer goes.

only because swatch started limiting the movements to brands that they own.

From a design they copied from Seiko. Smilie It's probably the best value though.

I have watches for that too. I own a Seamaster that's an automatic and when I was shopping the fact that it was an automatic was very important to me, I wanted nothing to do with the quartz models. But that doesn't mean that every watch I own, or every watch I spend decent money on, HAS to be an automatic. I own 6 watches now, 2 of them are automatics.
You must be a rich slickdealer.

Not particularly. I haven't spent more than 400 on any of them.

Hence my saying "For the most part" Wink
So, wait...your "point" is merely that most battery-powered watches aren't high end? Some are, some aren't? Like every other kind of watch on the planet?

Sorry, I guess I just fail to see what you're getting at. Perhaps the point sailed high over my head.

i honestly just picked up my rolex about 6 days ago, i thought I had to manually wind it up because the crown on it pulls out for you to wind in position 1, I need to not wind it up for a couple days to see if it winds itself.
Can't tell if serious. How do you drop thousands on a Rolex and walk away not knowing if it's auto or manual wind? I mean, if the dealer/seller didn't know, then ten seconds on google should answer that question.

Unless when you said "picked up" you meant it literally, i.e. you found it on the ground or something, and you don't really know what you have.

What's the longevity of Tag watches assuming you don't do stupid things (ie. drop them) with it?
I have a Heuer Monaco II, purchased in 1999. I wore it regularly for a few years, then they put Tag Heuer on the face and the value of mine appreciated. I wear it a few times a year now and haven't had any problems. It is an automatic.

The deals are never THAT good. I almost pulled the trigger on a Carrera last year for $2.6k but decided last minute to check out the local jeweler and he was able to beat the price.

I got an Aquaracer from them about a year and a half ago for about 65% off retail.

Yes, I agree. The deal is not that good. It should be better. That's why I didn't buy it last time. It was good last 3 years ago. That's why I posted it is a good deal for some, but not a good deal for others.
