Yes, I know the original price for the full version is outrageous at $16 EEK!, but let's look past that seeing as how it can be unlocked today for FREE.

First install the "lite" version [google.com], then once you have it installed and running as your current launcher, go into the Menu (the furthest right icon in the dock, 3 vertical dots) and go into Preferences. Go into "About the Full Version", then choose "Activate" button (it may appear grayed out but just press it) and enter: "nextlauncher3d" as the account and "appoftheday" as the code. Enjoy.

As usual with any new launcher, you've got to set it up to your liking, but it looks pretty slick and appears to be pretty functional. Excellent ratings on the Play Store. [google.com]

** It appears this unlocks the full version for the installation of the 'lite' app on a specific device, and will not remain as a free full version on your account for future installs or installs on other devices. So if you want to keep the full version for free on your device, don't uninstall it. Likewise, if you think you might want it later you should install and unlock it now on any device to 'save' it for later. (Users have reported that using certain backup options, such as Titanium Backup, Carbon, and Helium will allow you to save this as the FULL version that can restored again, as is, later.).

edit: Wrote original instructions from memory (since it's different once activated). Sorry for the confusion. Corrected with Gameross's help.

The deal is now dead.

Typo in the op you Go to About Full Version not About Next Launcher and thanks op.

For those looking to back-up this license:

Since this method doesn't actually unlock the paid version in the market, your "license" is saved only to your phone as part of the app data. This means if you wipe your phone or uninstall the app, you will LOSE YOUR LICENSE

Basically, each app has two parts - the app itself and the app data, which preserves settings, saved data/info, and in this case, the license. If you want to back up this Next Launcher 3D in case you wipe your phone, get a new/replacement, you'll need to back up your app data.

If your phone is rooted, simply download and install Titanium Backup from the market (free version will suffice). Titanium Backup will typically save backup to either the internal SD (which would be preserved in most cases in the event your phone needs a factory reset or you install a new ROM) or the external SD.

To choose your external SD (recommended), open the app, hit the menu button, and choose Preferences. Find 'Backup folder location' and tap once and hit the 'Back' key to get to the file browser. Find your external SD card (likely /storage/extSdCard) and select it by hitting 'use the current folder'. Now that your backups are saved to your External SD, return to the main Titanium Backup screen, hit 'Backup/Restore' on top and find Next Launcher 3D on the list. Tap once and choose 'Backup'.

In the event you need to restore this license, install Titanium Backup on your new phone (or fresh install), choose 'Backup/Restore', find the app on the list, hit 'Restore' and 'App+Data'. (Note that you may need to go back to the 'Backup folder location' menu to choose where Titanium Backup looks for your saved backups. Hitting auto-detect will save you the trouble of finding it manually)

Working as of 1053AM EDT 6/07

Done. Thanks.

Warning: I put this on and did NOT set it as default launcher.... I choose to make my Nova Launcher [Always] - and it STILL changed my system wallpaper and who knows what else.

I noticed that as well - but this is not the only launcher to do that so it did not raise my alert level (for better or for worse). I think many launchers do to give you that 'wow!' first impression as it 'transforms' your phone into a new experience. I have to say that after using and trying as many launchers as I have in the past, this one still awed me. I imagine they could achieve the same and more with some racy, NSFW wallpapers, as well OMG - so I guess I'm glad they didn't do that. I think.

This looks like it requires a lot of MPU out of tablet? A lot of launchers can hose down the tablet. I just stick with the default works the best.

I would like to get this, just in case I do switch to it in the future (I have no plans to use it right now). I would still have to install it, right? Also, after it's activated, can uninstall and still get the full version when I re-download it later this year?

Thanks,
Tofu Vic

Awesome! Worked for me! You have to go into About Full Next Launcher, the one that's above "About Next Launcher"

Sorry about that - wrote up the post after I did it so I was a little off in the instructions doing it from memory. Updated the OP (thanks Gameross) & sorry for the confusion.

That I do not know. Usually that's the case when you DL & install something from the Play Store it remains as "yours" in your account, but since this is an unlock, I'm not sure if it registers and remains the full version as yours even after an uninstall or upon new installation. What's more, I believe it appears as the "lite" version on your phone even though the full version is unlocked. I guess it remains to be seen. Perhaps someone could install on a second device and see what happens?

Does this actually unlock the full version through the market? Where I'll be able to re-download the full version in the future... or does it only unlock it on my phone?
