HHGregg is offering the following deal for new DIRECTV customers committing to a 24 month agreement:

-$150 visa gift card
-8 GB Samsung Galaxy Tablet (up to $199 value)
-$100 referral bonus

Subscribe using this link:

Rebate form for the Galaxy Tablet is available at: http://ecr-rebateforms.s3.amazona...07-6v2.pdf

This seems pretty slick - if you're willing to go through the rebate process.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

DirecTV entertainment package required, which is the lowest, which is 29.99 for the first 12 months and 54.99 a month afterwards making this 1019.76 + fees/taxes/whatever

-199 tablet
-150 card
= 669.77 for 24 months of tv access.

2 years of netflix + 2 years of hulu + HD antenna to get local channels = 424

Let me rephrase, if one is in the market for DIRECTV for reasons like NFL games, dvr, ESPN, this appears to be one of the better new customer offers I've seen

vomit Sports channels. I wouldn't mind getting back Headline News, SciFi and maybe TBS that Comcast has yanked from our current cable lineup. But the only sports channel I liked was ESPN Classic for the old school pro wrestling and the original American Gladiators.

You know what's amazing is I read somewhere recently that Disney makes $5 per subscriber per month for just the original ESPN being on peoples locked in cable lineups. shake head

You are paying to much.. You should just steal your neighbors wifi and torrent your shows!... everyone can come up with a cheaper alternative.. But if you are in the market for directv .. this is pretty good..

The only thing missing is the extra $5 off for 12 months that's advertised on directv's home page. Otherwise this seems like the best deal.

You forgot something? How can you watch them without an internet connection with a decent speed?

With this deal they can have a pretty basic internet and TV with a lot more programs to enjoy.

ESPN is one of the most popular channels though. Not surprising they command that kind of money.

So just to clarify... You activate and buy the tablet at HHGregg and you get a $150 visa card and then send the rebate in with receipt for the reimbursement of the tablet? Sucks because I don't have a HHGregg near me.

I guess if you're into that sort of entertainment. To me though, they'd have to make MLB more like the NHL before I'd watch. Same goes with the NBA, allow full on contact with no fouls and I'd probably take an interest in that too.

I have two of them near me and the only times I've gone to either were for gaming clearances, the most recent of which being the $5 blowout on the remaining current gen games they had.

That's what I've been wondering too. Their prices are nowhere near competitive and I rarely see them have any decent sales. Even Circuit City had actual clearances every so often. I've never heard of HHGregg doing that outside of the gaming one they just did last month.

Where do you find the $100 referral fee then? I don't see it posted. Thanks!
