Can anyone recommend a good dual-link DVI card? Something that can do light gaming (at the 256-x1440 resolution) would be good.

Not a bad price for the 30". But if wanna you save almost an extra $100 and don't mind international shipping, you can get a 30" 2560 x 1600 with the same LG panel from Korea for $550

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CROSSOVER...1e74a56eee

Or spend $630 if you want an HDMI + VGA + DVI

If you're talking about the anti-glare/ matte coating, then yes.

I don't know much about the AMD cards, but if you want to play graphic intensive games (BF3, Metro, ect.), I would go with (at least) GTX670. Else, a GTX 660Ti or GTX 560Ti.

for those that buy the keyboards, please keep in mind that they're likely to be 2KRO.
nvm, looks like they're only 4KRO. not too bad then.

Really? Are the specs wrong? Monoprice lists the red as "64KRO (Any combination)", and says in the description of the blue, "this model supports 64-key rollover". The 4KRO was mentioned earlier, too. Where is everyone seeing only 4KRO?

Edit: Looks like they raised the price back up to $130 for the red anyway. Blue is still $45 - 10% though (at the moment).

I'm sure the monitors are "great", but whenever I order overseas I always come to my roots of why I don't like it. Everything that I ordered that's electronic comes out to be defective or unreliable after so long. I don't believe the specs on a lot of these monitors as they can pretty much say what they want. I know LG, Dell, etc. hold their reputation and test their products extensively. This also reminds me of that offbrand 4K TV Seiki which isn't true 4K. I really do appreciate you at least trying to save us money though. Smilie

You've precisely nailed it. I do own one of the cheapo Korean 27" panels but I was willing to accept lower quality, and infact to make it worthwhile I ended up putting a $60 aftermarket stand on it. I'm not sure I would do it again, particularly with something as large as a 30". But I'm also much more concerned about having a really high quality picture, and have basic functions work. There are likely many people who couldn't care less about color temperature.

How cheap must the controllers be to not even have basic RGB adjustment? Wow. I've never before heard of something so cheesy.

For me, I'd rather spend the money and get something that has some design, QA and warranty behind it.

Is anyone else put off by Monoprice's shipping rates, or do you just deal with it because their prices are so good? I wish they had some kind of shipping promo for repeat customers.

how do these compare to the Korean models? Price and quality? I'm not a gamer but I do watch videos, and mostly office productivity and Photoshop occasionally.

Thanks

Edit: sorry. Looks like there is a discussion going on already in this thread. On my mobile device. Will go back and read..

Beware, the resolution puts the font very small, not necessary a bad experience though as I've seen on retina apple automatically adjust the font so it doesn't bug you, but on retarded windows this likely an annoying ....
this is bad advice. Typically the error exists between the keyboard and chair.

In windows you can adjust the fonts to match your display. You can also adjust the size ofbicons and window borders.

The Korean ones are great prices on eBay but my friend bought one and it came with the screen super cracked, almost as if someone kicked it. Could've been shipping issue, but still, it's a major major hassle if something is wrong and you need to ship it back and forth. If you get a good monitor on first try, you are blessed with good luck.

Excuse my ignorance, but will this monitor work with a standard DVI cable like the one I'm using on my 1920x1200 monitor?
