I read the directions to port to GV. It says you need an unlocked phone and to buy a Tmobile sim. Does anyone know where to get the absolute cheapest unlocked phone?

I don't know if it needs to be unlocked. You could just borrow a friend's old tmobile phone. You would only need it for a few days during the porting process. Then buy your friend a lunch. bounce

Here's a cheap unlocked phone. Can't beat this for $ 10.

Did anyone create a new account using "Sign in with Google account," then downloaded the ObiOn Android App and couldn't sign in using the app?

Anyone has experience porting their number out of ooma? They rejected my first request to port out to t-mobile by giving reason of mismatch in information. I am pretty sure information I provided is correct.

Hi there.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I need help please (if you have time)!

So I have the OBi100, I have the Samsung a157 GoPhone (AT&T) that I just received from Amazon...now what steps do I take next in my process of going from Home Phone service with AT&T's number to GoPhone to Google Voice?

I guess my main question is, what plan do I select to set up the phone? Or is there already prepaid minutes on the phone that are enough for the port process? I don't want to pay for minutes if there are minutes on it already enough to do the number transfer. Actually I don't even know this new phone's number...lol.

Is it still "porting" since my landline phone is AT&T and GoPhone is also AT&T?

Well I more or less move the number from landline to GoPhone, and then GoPhone to GVoice.

Thank you in advance! I appreciate it!
