I was looking for cheaper internet then TWC and I came across Earthlink [earthlink.net]. Seems to be a pretty good deal and I didn't see any posts here... so here it is. What do you all think? Got something better worth checking out?

Here are some additional details that I found:
- Earthlink just repackages high speed internet across the US.
- Although it isn't the fastest, it is fast enough to stream a HD Netflix: https://support.netflix.com/en/node/306
- Earthlink doesn't charge a modem rental fee: http://stopthecap.com/2012/11/05/...ental-fee/

I think the deals are different per address. The one I am looking at is:
Cable Up to 7.0Mbps $29.95/mo.
(First 6 Months*; $41.95/mo. thereafter)

EDIT
Found 15 Mbps Earthlink service at http://www.digitallanding.com/deals/ for $30.

See if there are any other "local" places. I get 10mbps through a reseller of TWC for only $30/mo for 3 months, then $40 thereafter with no contract whatsoever

Great idea - I am searching yellowpages.com now... Never thought I would say that!

Earthlink 'just' started charging $6 a month for their modem - with no warning or announcement or anything! I have been very happy with their service up to now @ $42 monthly.
I called them & they offered me the same service I've been getting (15down/1up) for $35 for the next year.
They will still charge me $6 a month for the modem, but I just bought one on Amazon for $13 so I'll be returning their modem on Monday.

I get Earthlink via Brighthouse for $30.00 monthly but my 6 month promo is about up. Brighthouse or Earthlink can't tell me what my new price will be next month. Does anyone have this plan with Brighthouse, and what are you now being charged?
