Deal Details

Normally $79.99, now $59.99 at Costco thru 6/22. OOS online but is available in stores.

http://www.costco.com/Seagate-Bac...7821.html?

Can also be price matched at Staples.com or B&M if you do not have a Costco membership (thanks aznkidjt)

http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/pr..._guarantee

I also tried my local Staples to use the 20% off coupon, and unfortunately, my store did not have the hard drive in stock (sold out from last week's sale). HOWEVER, the manager I spoke with said if they had it in stock, they would match the $59.99 Costco price, THEN allow me to use the 20% off coupon which would bring it down to $48 + tax. It will have to be a YMMV situation I assume depending on the manager.

The return policy at Costco is great though. Pretty much back my lifetime warranty isn't it?
There is a sign instore that details their policies. I believe electronics items have a limited return guarantee, like 90 days maybe? Don't know what they do if the item dies.

Don't forget to try to use the 20% coupon and let me know if they do Smilie If so, I'm gonna drive to the closest one to me with one in stock (though its still quite away from me)

Called 2 local Staples, both refused to price match from Costco. They said it's a "MEMBERSHIP CLUB". Online agent said "Costco is OUT OF STOCK, we cannot do anything about it".

The staples I went to was awesome.

Didn't realize my web printout had no price (crap!), and when I went online it was OOS so I couldn't add it to my cart. I asked them to call Costco to verify but the manager was pretty cool and pricematch, and then let me use the coupon. Finally I used my $25 for $40 Staples GC purchased on Groupon today.

Math:
89.99 (reg price)
-30.00 (pricematch)
-12.00 (20% coupon)
-15.00 (Groupon)

TOTAL: $32.99 (or $36.35 w/7% tax on $47.99 minus $15 groupon credit)

Funny thing is I haven't done this since my college days since I really don't have the time to play these games. Forgot what the thrill of a PM/coupon deal feels like lol.

I'm surprised they won't price match Costco because it's a "membership" warehouse, when it specifically mentions it on their website:

http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/pr..._guarantee

Which competitors will Staples price match?

Staples retail stores will price match prices at competitors’ brick-n- mortar retail stores and at Staples.com.

Staples.com will price match select competitors’ websites as well as Staples’ retail stores. These select competitors are: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Office Depot, Office Max, Quill, Medical Arts Press, Reliable, Sam’s Club, Wal—mart, WB Mason and Xerox. Items must be sold and shipped by one of these competitors.

I'd go back and raise hell. Lol.

I am busy today and Monday. I will call the "Corporate Office" on Tuesday regarding this issue.

I didn't call the "Corporate Office" regarding the Logitech Keyboard Fiasco (maybe 1 year ago).

with coupon EMCXPWM55 no tax and free shipping
Went to costco Santa Clara, no good. No coupon, no instant rebate. They had a ton of them too. Costco Sunnyvale is OOS, and no discount either.

Edit: I just realized that the link to the Newegg order is for a separate drive. It's Seagate Expansion, same capacity, only 1 year warranty, and it's a desktop model (needs powercord). Backup + has 2 yr
