Book a stay at Mandalay Bay using this offer and receive a $150 Resort Credit! This deal requires a 2 night minimum stay. My total with resort fee+tax was $240 for 2 nights. sunday through tuesday. I was going to stay at the Excalibur, which was $90, but this seemed to make more sense with the $150 resort credit. Not to mention there are a lof of successfull stories on the $20 trick Here [thetwentydollartrick.com]

Book using Offer Code: MRC1RC
Features room rates starting at $64/night.
Available on select dates: Now through August 29th, 2013
Book by: July 31st, 2013
Daily resort fee: $28

a few points:

1. excaliber is a dump, don't ever stay there
2. mandalay is awesome, and the wave pool is great
3. $64/night + Daily resort fee: $28 = $92 a night (+ tax)
4. the $20 is not really worth it. my wife works in the travel industry and all u need to do is ask NICELY if upgrades are available, if they are they generally will be happy to hook you up. spending $20 to find out is just a waste of money.

I think being nice vs. the $20 trick will have varying results. So many of the people that work at hotels are complete a$$holes.

Thanks for the tips. My days(7/7-7/9) came out to $80 a night + fees and taxes. I think i will try to ask nicely first, if that doesnt work, then i slip the $20. we will see.

Hopefully there will be some nice upgrades available as i am arriving on a sunday night, right after july 4th, so everyone will be on their way home!

I know if that the resort credit is only applied to charges posted to the room. But, does anyone know if it can be apply at the pool (drinks and food)?
If not, what are the participating restaurants?

the week after a holiday should be some availability. if u don't get a free upgrade then u probably won't get one with the$20 trick either,

i have stayed at mandalay several times, u probably won't even need an upgrade, even the basic rooms are very nicely done and are very spacious (550 sq ft)

Totally wasted $20 when I tried the $20 trick the first time. haha, no upgrade and crappy location.

The last time I was at Paris in Vegas, I asked nicely when I check in if there's any upgrade available and I explained that it's a romantic getaway and it's my companion's first visit to Vegas and got shot down quickly. The woman didn't even bother to check the system.

I pulled out my wallet and asked her to check again and said I'll make it worth her while; she checked and "found a room just opened up" so I got upgraded to a Red room with fountain view. I gave her $20 anyway, although I felt like I shouldn't have since she lied to me the first time.

Can any one suggest me what would be the best way to book a room for 4 people. Every hotel i check has decent rates in July for 2 people but when i choose 2 queen for 4ppl, its almost double. One room on this deal for 2 people is $80 and for 4 its $152 per day.

Sry, but wouldn't they check at the time of check in. we arrive at 10PM, can we just sneak into elevators, when one of us checks in at the desk ?

You are a slick dealer and hell yea, book 2 queens and sneak others in or if the hotel is empty just take their luggage with u and text them Ur room number after u get the keys unless they r going first time than u will have to take them. That's wat we did on new year last year at ballys
