got mine today. had to download and install new updates. it has mlb.tv.

when I play youtube though, I can't get rid of a message "loading" right smack in the middle of the screen. maybe its my 3mbs internet connection. anyone else have this issue?

I received mine yesterday, and it was in almost-new condition, like a store (Costco?) return. It came in the original box and the remote and HDMI cable were unopened, but the paperwork was missing. For the price, I am very happy with it.

Got mine dropped off by USPS today, it's great having distribution centers on the west coast. Came in the original Sony box with a couple of blemishes and resealed, but looks almost as good as new after an undusting: remote and player was oddly dusty, but still well worth it for the price.

There's a 75mb or so software update that it prompts you about after the first bootup if you have the ethernet connected.

There's a setting for it in the main menu of the player. And of course, you need to be connected to the internet either via ethernet or wifi adapter.

My player arrived yesterday, hooked it up, downloaded the update, played Avatar, Avengers and Lord of the Rings blu-rays on it. All look great. Boots pretty fast, loads discs pretty fast, i am extremely happy with it so far. Haven't tested the online streaming apps yet. Initial condition of the item and box were fantastic, it was like i was opening a new item. Very pleased.

My Youtube plays with "loading..." message right in the smack middle of the screen and during the play, I can't stop it or go out into the menu. Only button that works in Youtube is the power button to reboot the machine. Hopefully they come out with a software fix soon. Let's all let Sony support know about these issues with Youtube.

Mine came yesterday.
Like one of you already mentioned, my unit was also caked with dust. The packaging was poor and the cable and remote were already opened.
In spite of all that, the unit functions is speedy-fast and functions perfectly. I've yet to update the firmware, but don't really feel the need to as I don't use any of the internet-required features. Should I, though?
Also, fyi, I just upgraded from a DVD player.

It turns out that it requires a usb flash drive to work.

Got mine on Sat 29th. Packaging was fine, no dust, had all manuals and was packed well. Works great so far. I've watched one blu-ray and several hours of Amazon Instant Video. Updated it out of the box and again last night. No complaints for $25! Hooked up to my vizio surround and connected it with my directv remote with no probs.
