How long is the warranty on these?
I think it's 90 days on refurbs but you can buy Adorama VIP Member Extended Protection Plan for $7.95 which will cover refurbs for 1 year on all Adoroama purchases. You may have to call them and tell them you purchased it via ebay and they will work with it.

The 7D only uses CF cards. If you are not careful it's easy to bend the pins and brick your camera until it's fixed. Just FYI if you are wanting to upgrade from a SD card based camera.
I would add that it's not THAT easy to bend the pins. Don't let your 3 year old put the card in and you will be fine.

Yep, and it's less of an issue in the 7D than it was in the earlier xxD models (50D had that problem more often)

Highly doubt it, since this is for a refurb camera.

If you're mostly doing video, no. The screen and the ability to use Magic Lantern are, to me, irreplaceable. The 7D is using the same sensor as the T3i, so image quality is the same. It's only on the photography side that you'd notice the difference.

7D would have better battery life; but, the CF cards fast enough for video are also more expensive

I don't know anything about photography- my wife is into it. I was thinking of buying this an upgrade from her T3I. Is this worth the upgrade?
There is no question, totally worth the upgrade from t3i, especially since you say your wife is into photography, there are quite a few more settings on this camera to learn/play with.
