Probably worth mentioning that this is for new customers only. I am month-to-month with 50/25 for $65/mo and they would not extend the promotional pricing to me for signing a contract. At least that was the case via live chat.
Current customer here - I'm trying to switch from double play (phone + internet) to internet only and get a VoIP service. Has anyone tried doing this? I want to know if I can port my number out and how long the downtime will be...
Regular price shows $84/month. How did you get $50/month? Did you talk with CSR?
Thanks in advance.
No, just moved to this new place about a month ago and it was pre-wired with fios already. So I just went to verizon website to see the price and saw this $49.99 for 12 months no contract deal. The regular price is $84.99 and every month there is $35 discount applied to my account.
BTW, I am a new verizon customer, never used verizon fios or dsl before.
Because I am a current Fios customer I cannot see the discounted pricing. I did plug in my neighbors address and the initial price shows up as $74.99 off contract but then when you go through the ordering process the price drops to $39.99 per month. Spoke to a CSR and they said I would need to talk to retention to see what they can do about dropping me to internet only for a discounted price. Of course they are closed this late. We'll see what happens tomorrow. We do have Brighthouse in the area and internet only is $52 but it is slightly slower.
I can't possibly see how anyone would prefer TWC over FIOS. I just moved after 2 years of having fios 35/35 for like $75 (not even a great deal by current standards), but holy crap is TWC a ripoff for my area... 15/1 is $45, 20/2 is $55, 50/5 is $75. Upload speeds are sad, sad, sad. Not to mention the fact that actually getting the service from TWC was such a freaking hassle since their online and phone ordering systems seem to be completely disconnected, and on top of them forcing me to pay for installation even though I have my own modem (seriously, the guy came and called up the activation line, gave my MAC address, and left... pathetic. They were originally trying to charge me $48 for that "service").
NJ 08512 area is 75/85/95$ ...this is just a rip off.. i am moving and new place has fios or comcast have to find a good deal. I love optimum been paying 30$ since so many years. Once the one year promotion is done I just call and transfer the account onto my mom or dads name and the price becomes 30$ instead of 50$.
