Definitely seems like a good deal. Not many other sellers of this explorer version though.

This is the IPA23 [ionaudio.com]which is a slightly trimmed down IPA56 [ionaudio.com].

I didn't compare too much but they look fairly identical. Main difference I see is the 25 hours of rechargeable battery life vs the 50 in the IPA56

Costco sells the IPA56 in store right now for $150 if anyone is interested in that.

EDIT - who gave thumbs down for poor merchant? whats so terrible about Sams?

Yes, very, very similar units. The pro for the IPA23 is "75ft bluetooth range" vs "50ft" for the IPA56, and 6 radio preset buttons whereas the IPA56 has none. The pro for the IPA56 is "50 hrs battery" vs "25hrs" in the IPA23. Other than that, very similar units.

I got one for my boys to use at TKD tournaments.....so it will need to run on about 10 minutes battery time! Maybe we'll tailgate with it some...so let's say 5 hours total battery time. Anyway, saving the $30 (IPA23/$120 vs IPA56/$150) and only getting "1 day" of battery life (optimal use) was fine with me.

Either way, they are handy unit....if you have a need for one.

Below is what sams club says for the IPA23

Assembled Size

19"L x 14"W x 21"H

Below is what Amazon says for the IPA56

Product Dimensions:

21 x 14 x 19 inches

So I am thinking that the sams club size is the correct size. I keep debating if I want one and have for about a month. I just don't know if I neeeeed one lol.

Also they aren't small but from the reviews it seems if you want a loud enough speaker for outdoor party use then these are what you get. They may not have the deepest bass or hit all the perfect notes but they are for playing music loud enough for everyone to here and enjoy. Also they have a heck of a long battery life so they are very portable in that sense.
