Actually, it fits very well in there. You see, the President is obligated to sell the fighters and tanks to Egypt (regardless who is in control over there) as a form of a bribe to prevent Egypt from engaging in hostilities with Israel and to remain neutral in any conflicts Israel may be involved in.
We're doing this for Israel, not for the United States.
Honestly that sounds like the worst form of payment on a bribe not to attack someone. Why give them the tools to do what you are bribing them not to do?
Because Arab men like their toys even if they never get to use it? Seriously, I believe it is related to the concept of Arab honor and what not. Egypt has been receiving advanced military weaponry since 1979 and hasn't bothered Israel since then.
Anyway, I can support the leaking of any illegal conduct our government has been involved in against it's citizens.
Said leaking of "illegal" conduct of our government leads to a breakdown of our ability to intercept and prevent terrorist attacks (see my earlier comments on this specific subject). It is also questionable whether it is "illegal" in the first place.
Our government is committing reverse treason. I think he is justified to that point, everything after is a hanging offense.
Pray tell whether the failure of the government to prevent another 9/11 from happening could be construed as a greater "reverse treason"?
