Got the premier one and it looks pretty much similar at the same price as last year. I saved $50 on that one too! I also ordered the grey one here. Shipped in a week or so but white one is in stock. Grey looks more cool. The prices on these 70 pints dehu. are somewhere above $250.

Excellent price. Ordered one...Costco is a no brainer because I can easily return if it's not good, and I was going to order one today on Amazon. Most places seem to have increased prices with all the rain we've been having. Thx. OP. Repped

Is there any difference between the grey and white one? The vents are different in the picture. Also has anyone seen these in the store?

Is this better than $210 frigidaire that I got from newegg last month ? CR seems is leaning towards frigidaire. I would have preferred buying from costco even if it is inferior product for piece of mind. Is it worth biting on newegg return shipping and return frigidaire ?

I m not sure how to compare this with the frigidaire one but I think you should keep the frigidaire to save the return shipping hassle. You won't end up saving much if choose to return and buy from costco. Plus $10 tax at costco. If you haven't buy a dehumdifier, then get this one. Otherwise, don't waste time just to save a few bucks. Smilie

Thanks, I've been on the lookout for one for our new house, need a dehumidifier in the basement to keep the moisture down!!

Spoke with Danby representative and they say only difference is that the grey one is the newer model, draws more amperage (7.5 vs 7), and is....well grey, which does look cool as mentioned by another poster above..

I just bought the Frigidaire FAD504DWD Energy Star 50-pint Dehumidifier 2 days ago on amazon for 199 + tax = $213. Planning to return it to amazon. So much easy to deal with returns at costco.

How are the ratings for this danby model?

If anyone receives theirs before 08/04 would you mind posting your impression of the product here? Worth it, not worth it, does it operate well, overall impressions?

I'm not familiar with dehumidifiers and still think $179 is a bit steep, although I am aware of the common market rates. Thank you if you do post.

Thanks OP. Ordered. Costco return policy made the decision easier.

Previous Kenmore unit (made by LG) was recalled due to fire hazard.
