If this can work on a netbook, I may get it. Anyone ever try it on a dinky netbook w/1024x600 res?

Looked up the mobile versions as an alternative and ios is $1.99 ... Android is strangely $6.99. Perhaps ios version requires a lot of in-app purchases or something?
Nope, the Android release is brand new, while the iOS version has been around for a little while. I contacted their customer support to request a price match for Android, but no luck yet. My guess is that it will go down later in the summer or in the fall.

I noticed the promo email for maw indicated you get a $9.99 credit toward the game, but it is on sale right now for $5. So after buying it for free, I used the link again and clicked to buy another copy. It took $4.99 off a second copy, letting me buy it for $.01. Immediately sent me a second unique steam code. I've never even played maw before, but figured what the hell. I'll give it to a friend.

Thanks, I guess that makes sense then. I have both a touchpad and a 1st gen iPad. Assuming it works with the 1st gen, I guess I am better off just getting the ios version. This PC version may be good too, since you get the expansion as well ... but I'd want it on my netbook, which may not be ideal.

There are two versions of Ticket to Ride for iOS. One is Ticket to Ride Pocket, which is optimized for the iPhone, and one is Ticket to Ride, which is for the iPad. I think at this point the functionality is basically the same. But only the iPhone version is 1.99. The iPad version is 6.99, although it was $2.99 a couple days ago. It just went back up to $6.99.

It looks like there is only one version which runs on both Android phones and tablets, hence they went with the $6.99 price tag I guess.

Gah, I assumed the $1.99 one was for iPad too ... didn't know they had two versions. Guess I'll wait for them to go down in price. Or see if I can find any users using the PC version on a 1024x600 display. A lot of games really dislike that res.

Thanks for the tip. I was able to buy two extra The Maw codes for $0.01 each. So I got 3 The Maw steam codes.

Are you looking at the DLC? It was still 1.99 about 10 seconds ago.

You buy the Ticket to Ride DLC for $1.99 or any other qualifying game/DLC [amazon.com] and you will get The MAW, Drip Drip, and Ticket to Ride for free.

Great deal, thanks! My second purchase of The MAW for $0.01 may not have worked though. It said something along the lines of, "Sorry this is taking so long. We will email you when the purchase is complete." But no real loss if it doesn't go through.
