Thread Details

Trade-in value for the XBox 360S 250GB is $150 right now at Gamestop. With the 50% trade-in bonus it comes out to $225. That's store credit.

YMMV because trade value fluctuates even over the course of the day. Monday last week it was $135 in the morning and $125 later that afternoon. You don't have to be a pro member to get it. Not a bad deal if you were going to dump your XBox anyway. I'd call the store before going to make sure though.

Also, that assumes your console works and you have the power brick/cable, A/V cable and wireless controller.

Amazon trade in is $196 right now
Best buy online says $65

Trade in value is now being rolled into the fine print. The $165 is with the added 50%.

Defective items may be eligible for trade at a lesser value. Hardware must have all necessary components. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Trades subject to manager approval. See store for details. No dealers. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only. Void where prohibited. Offer may be modified or ended without notice. "

i traded an original 60GB model a few weeks ago...i got $120 for it. it was a former YLOD victim that i fixed to atleast run a game long enough for GS to accept it. picked it up broken last year on CL for like $20 and was gonna sell it back on CL but never got around to it. one thing they told me is the bigger the hard drive, the more credit you can get...it's not alot more but better than nothing.

Well, I replaced the 60gb hard drive with a 250gb laptop drive.

Do they take that or do I have to swap it back?

320gb xbox is the only one that qualifies for the $200. The 4gb is $100. I love how they raise/lower the trade in price with every single promotion so that the systems always equal out to the same amount.

i would call and ask first to see how much it would be w/ the 250gb. if the price difference isnt much, i'd probably swap back to the original and use the 250gb for something else.

I believe they use the size of the hard drive as determined by the serial number scan. Even if you have a 500GB drive in there, they will treat it as if it is a 160 if the serial number reveals the system to be a 160GB.
